Bird-N-Bun — Restaurant in Long Beach

This is the second time we order from this place. First time the food was perfect and not greasy at all. Surprisingly the food was really dry and not oily although it's fried! We decided to order again today and the food was extremely disgusting and greasy 🤢 it even tasted as if the oil used to fry it was super old! First bite from waffle fries tasted like fried fish! It was seriously disgusting and it felt like the oil was very old! It made us sick. I am here lying down after an hour and a half of eating. First time we ordered this we didn't feel this way! If you're busy on weekends then add a fryer or do something so the oil doesn't get that disgusting! You need to change your oil more often so you don't get people sick! Your prices are already super expensive so it should be affordable for you guys to change the oil used more often! First time was probably after an oil change and only God knows how often this damn oil gets changed! Never ordering from you ever...

The FOOD was 5 star - 11 star, if I could. I'll explain the removal of a star at the end. First, the best stuff... The Spicy Chicken Sandwich was OMG crispy, spicy - maybe the two best chicken sammys in memory. The 3 "strips" - I've seen chickens this big. They were perfect. To be honest, my wife and I could've split either the sandwich or the strips and been happy. Now for the blah... The coleslaw was just ok. It was much more bland than I would've imagined for the rest of the fare. What wasn't perfect: I had an question/problem about my order and the employees at the window were rude and dismissive. On top of that, two other people came in and just started opening each and every locker looking for their food. Eventually an employee stopped them but not before touching at least half of the lockers... We will...

The sandwiches were hot, fresh, and ready for pickup. Pickup was extremely easy. The sandwiches were really delicious and decently priced. I know that many people would not pay $8/9 for a sandwich, but you're supporting a small business. The chicken, according to my mom and sister, was tender, and the breading was well seasoned. They loved the sauce. My mom thoroughly enjoyed the slaw on her sandwich.

I had the chicken-less chicken sandwich. I had been waiting for this since February when I learned about Bird-n-Bun. I enjoyed the tenderness of the sandwhich and the breading. The spice level for the spicy sandwich is just right, and the sauce is really delicious. Also, the bread is really good.
