I was looking forward to the opening of Lima and was lucky to try it on its first weekend. My niece and I had an early dinner reservation and the restaurant was pretty full inside with lots of people also checking in. We were seated promptly at one of the high tables. The inside of the restaurant is vibrant, bright, and colorful. I love how they transformed the space. They did a good job of ensuring lots of seating inside.
We ordered the chica morada beverage and we both enjoyed the mild sweetness. We decided to share the La Sirena ceviche (mixto), arroz con mariscos, and the lomo saltado. Lomo saltado is one of my favorite things to eat and I love that there is a new place so close by to get it. The meat was juicy and tender and the dish was well balanced with the potatoes, tomatoes, and red onion. My niece could not get enough of the ceviche and was spooning up the liquid to enjoy when we finished all the seafood. The arroz con mariscos was also very flavorful with a little kick. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.
The service was fantastic and our food came out quickly considering they just opened and were already so busy. Our waitress Gigi was the sweetest and gave my niece and I some nice compliments. We also had some good laughs.
Daiwa and Eduardo have done it again. They created a space that is welcoming and inviting that makes you want to come back. Not just for the food, but for the people and community. They also own Sushi Nikkei on the same block so you have two great...
Read moreThe welcoming sitting and food service was awesome are server and the food runners were amazing, the atmosphere and cleanliness were good and bathrooms 👍🏻. Overall let me tell you the food flavors was good… we were satisfied but not nothing impressive and the most respectful way it was good. This is just preference preparation of the lomo saltado was good but not get way the rice in another plate, the chicha needs flavor, the choros a la chalaca I could be wrong and if I am im sorry the look and taste like the already open and dead muscle but the flavor of the chalaca was good, I didn’t get at all the he presentation of the causa and the need to came with the potato masher the flavor of the potato was just ok, and the crema volteada wasn’t good, don’t give wrong I didn’t said was not eatable was just not good texture and missing flavor, should make it...

The jalea was well cooked and one of the better ones I've had. The fish was moist and tender.
