I came here because it's right by my house and it had amazing reviews.. Let's just say, trust people's reviews!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This place went above and beyond my expectations / typical experience at a Boba place.. The girls working were extremely helpful and had no problem answering questions for those of us that do not know the lingo! Lol They even helped me decide what to get based on what I like; which I thought was pretty cool... ⚠️ALL BOBA PLACES SHOULD TAKE NOTES FROM THESE GUYS ON HOW TO RUN THEIR BUSINESS AND TRAIN THEIR EMPLOYEES! 💕🧋⚠️ The price was not cheap, but the quality & taste is definitely the reason why. It tasted super bomb and I loved that they didn't hold back when I asked for EXTRA BOBA!😜🤗 [The only thing that was lacking, was there is nowhere to sit down while you wait... which kinda sucks, but I assume that's because of covid? If there was at least outside patio chairs/tables or even a bench, Id have no complaints!] So, if you're looking for some good quality, ultra sweet, FRESH & FANCY Boba, THIS IS YOUR SPOT! Just prepare to pay for it..😜🧋💰🧋💰🧋💰🧋 & let's be honest, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!🤑

Side note: I like the fact that I could park in the parking garage for FREE & I got a parking spot literally STEPS AWAY from the entrance...(The parking garage is located BEHIND Loose Leaf!) ☆So, park in the parking garage, just don't lose your ticket😉 & make sure you're on the right...

Was going back and forth between three and four stars. Went with three.

Let’s start with the good:

It’s the best boba I’ve ever had.

The selection of teas is huge.

The place is really cute and trendy. Great atmosphere.

Onto the bad:

The staff is at best a bit impersonal…

And at worst just rude. You’d think that when someone orders a $7 tea AND tips, they would at least smile or say thank you for your business.

Instead, they call your name, hand you your tea, and that’s it.

Yesterday I asked if they remembered the extra topping I ordered and the response was a flatly rude “yeah?”. I was just checking because when I ordered on the kiosk, the extra boba came up as a “topping” yet they put it at the bottom of the cup.

Now this is obviously not an issue, but I was a little confused. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t forgotten since it's almost an extra $1 for the additional topping.

Not exactly the service you expect from a higher end tea shop.

I’m not a fan of the self-ordering kiosks because they remove the personal element of ordering. Perhaps that’s the problem. The staff has limited contact with the customers and less incentive to be friendly.

Either way, I would prefer to order from a shop with friendlier staff, but since the tea is so damn good, I’ll probably continue to patronize them.

However, I will probably...

I love this place. I mean, I love boba tea period, but now I don’t have to think so much about the impact it’s gonna have on my body because I know they pay great attention to all their ingredients.

They have my favorite non-dairy milk - Oatly oat milk - and the fancy Califa almond milk. Plus vegan sweetened condensed milk if you get a drink that calls for that! Plus you can get zero or a quarter sweet. I looove the hot genmaicha green tea with oat milk and boba (I know sounds weird but is my fav, and everyone I know who has tried it loved it). They’re also reallllly good at letting you know when a combo won’t taste good (like the berry hibiscus tea they told me would not taste good with milk). The only thing I wish is that I could get some of the smoothie-type drinks warm cuz I cant handle cold drinks unless it’s super hot out, but I can just wait til summer to have the purple roots drink again :)

Also: don’t forget to ask for their rewards card (after 10 stamps you get a free drink). I didn’t know about this for the longest time, but at least I have one now!

Update: bring in your own cup for 5% off, and you just need a phone number for...

What a great atmosphere to just relax and work. I did the interior space that's very open since it has garage type doors that open up so you receive plenty of fresh air and light. I came here with my coworker during lunch since we were both down here for a conference and they were polite and very insightful on the type of drinks they serve and how they recommend us to order them. I ordered the Assam Black Milk Tea with boba and my coworker ordered the regular Boba Milk Tea. In terms of taste, the Assam didn't have enough tea flavor in my opinion because I like drinks that are strong in taste. However, I did enjoy the boba they made because they were nice and soft with a kick of sweetness to it. I understand why they recommend sugar level to be at the halfway point because their boba adds more sweetness to it. I also appreciate that they take the time and effort to inform you that if the drink isn't to your preference or liking, they'll gladly remake a brand new drink for you. Overall, I've enjoyed my visit here and will be back in the near future when I'm in Long Beach.

This place is a cut above the standard boba/tea place in that they don't use powdered mixes and use "premium teas and ingredients" I will say that the drinks we received had a very polished appearance and the sizes were an ok size. The large was taller but noticeably thinner then the regular size. You can see this in the photo I've posted. The drinks were very tasty and it was nice to be able to choose the sweetness level for the drinks. All too often the drinks are a sugary mess but not here. I think the drinks we ordered included a matcha tea, summer melon drink, mango colada type drink and a red bean one. They were all feel good except the melon one that tasted like watermelon juice with some red bean thrown in it. Definitely a weird combination. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be going back the next time I'm in Long Beach.

Took some friends here for the first time and while the service and employees were very friendly, the product we received was lackluster. I got one of the Inspired drinks thinking it was more like a brown sugar milk drink, but it ended up being a slushie. This wasn't clearly communicated in the kiosk we were directed to order on. Another member of my party said her cheese foam was chunky. She wasn't sure if it was clumps of cream cheese, but it was off putting. I'm a huge fan of sustainability, but the bamboo straws broke very easily. To make matters worse, their drinks are still served in plastic and they only have trash bins-no recycling options. If you're going to go sustainable, do it right. Lastly, the restrooms were employee only. Our group had a 9 month old with us and there was nowhere to change a diaper.
