BROKEN ITEM sold / Sold as new item / No refund issued -
Before and during COVID, I would not open every box in the store, and I trusted that GameStop would not do anything funny to their items. I bought a Star Wars waffle maker as a gift at a CLEARANCE price - to be fair. Shortly after I went home, when I checked, the waffle handle was already broken.
When I attempted to return it, I was hoping for at least in-store credit - I get it there is restrictions; however, I was denied everything, and I left the stores with a big "It is broken. You'll just have to take it with no choice" impression. The customer service online was, like, two-week slow, and when they finally replied, they suggested me to go to a store and (attempt to) return it; they mentioned that they could not handle it online somehow.
However they marked down the price for an item, this is still not moral. If they issued an in-store credit, I could at least pre-order a game or what have I. It is simply frustration and disappointment...
Read moreThis is a good gamestop. I stop in here every once in a while and usually with a friend. They have great stuff and the staff is always so nice and friendly. My only problem is that the employees (and I don't know if they have to do this but) offer things to the customers which is nice but if the customer says no they keep trying to order different things. I'm like the man said no so let him go but if the employer is making them do this then......... But I waited in line for like an extra 7 minutes as an employee kept trying to offer some guy stuff and it clearly looked like he wanted to leave. Read moreI am not a big gamer by any stretch. However, when I do decide to purchase a video game, I depend on the expert opinion of GS associates. Brandon was extremely helpful, what I found impressive was that when he did not know the answer to my question, he admitted it, and then used his technology and outside resources to find the answer. In my opinion that is professionalism at its highest point. Because of Brandon's attentiveness to detail, I was able to find the "Madden 13" game at one of your nearby sister locations. This level of customer service should not go unnoticed. If Brandon is not part of the GS management team, I feel GS is wasting...
