Posh Bagel — Restaurant in Los Altos

08.14.25 1:45pm Downtown Los Altos on Main St Toasted Asiago Spinach Bagel w.Cream Cheese = $5.98 total inc tax. Was delicious and fresh. Totally recommend even though it's overpriced!

Also, thank you to the delightful Police Officer Gentleman who stopped and took the time to speak with us for about 10 minutes while we were sitting outside of Posh Bagels in the patio set while the officer chased a naughty boy on an electric motorbike (wearing a helmet), which is not allowed there to be operated on the streets. He said there were about 5 police cars chasing this young man as he evaded them throughout downtown :/

Plus, we saw him give a fee tix to a navy blue Tesla, he said it's for parking backwards into the space when it's only forward parking in all of downtown. The sheepish Tesla driver guy came 15 minutes later in a hurry and drove away with the tix still on his windshield, lol. So park the RIGHT way in, head first.

I have been going to this place for at least 15 years. Today, however, I was pleasantly surprised and shocked. Pleasant surprise, they are raising cost 4% but will give cash customer 4% discount. I will always pay cash for discount. Shocking and a deal breaker. It is apparent there are serious cost cutting. First, they are severely understaffed, and I believe it is totally due to cost cutting. Second; I have gotten the same item and today for the first time it was obviously skimpy; I mean really lean; so much so, it was obvious it was another cost cutting measure. To me it is a bad choice to stiff the customer, I rather they had chosen to keep the consistency, and maybe charge a little more for credit card users to cover processing fees. For me; skimping on my food like that was a shock and is unacceptable. I will not be going back. After 15...

They charge different prices for different bagels because some toppings are "gourmet" what a RIP off and stinks of greed. Their bagels are sub par to begin with and now I found out they charge more based on what type of bagel it is. Welcome to the land of greed. I will never go back there. I would rather spend a hundred dollars getting bagels shipped from New York than to give these bagel places here locally another penny of my money. Posh...
