This is where Koreans eat. Weโre not Korean. Authentic, absolutely delicious Korean foods, and the best kimchi we have had on the planet. We donโt usually like kimchi, but this kimchi was good enough to bottle and sell on its own. Sooo good. The soft tofu kimchi dish was divine. The squid was perfect. The galbi was excellent. The kimchi pancake was new to us and absolutely yummy. it was enough for 3 with leftovers, and the perfect accompaniment to the protein dishes. The spicy chickens feet was delicious, though could have used another 20 min of cooking. I donโt recall the many dishes we ordered, and everything and leftovers the next day was scrumptious. The best beer was the gingko, so good. The service was friendly, helpful, attentive, and just the right amount of proactive helpfulness for my party. Parking is in the back, immediately after the front door entrance. The restaurant is dark, with very high, thick booths for privacy. The music was for a young 20-30-something crowd. We would make this a regular hangout if it were nearer our home. We will bring all of our visitors to L.A. here...
ย ย ย Read moreThis place is a real gem in Koreatown. I visited after midnight on a Saturday and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The setting is cool and intimate with low lighting, high-walled booths, and good music โ perfect for a late-night date.
The service was outstanding, some of the best Iโve encountered in K-Town. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, even at 1AM. I ordered the spicy chicken and cheese, which came in a generous portion and tasted good, though I would have preferred a bit more spice (note to self for next time).
Here's an inside tip: make sure to mix the dish thoroughly. All the sauce and onions (the real flavor) are at the bottom, and once mixed, the chicken tastes even better. The sides were limited but very good.
Iโm looking forward to visiting again - this spot is a definite recommendation for anyone looking for a delicious and chill...
ย ย ย Read moreI came here for a date night with my wife because I saw the positive reviews. They all said basically the same thing; that the owner/ server was so nice and welcoming and that the food was out of this world. I could not agree more! The chicken wings were fried to perfection, the kimchee pancake was well balanced and crispy, and I had another spicy & cheesy chicken dish that I can't remember the name of but it was to die for! The outside is very unassuming and maybe even a little sketchy looking, but the inside is comfortable and sooo cozy. Alcohol selection was varied and wonderful! I tied an earthy Korean spirit (similar in proof to soju) and was throughly enjoyed to step out of my comfort zone. My wife says to "give bonus points for playing music from K-Pop Demon Hunter!" and so there's...
