Went here on a Friday night and there was no wait. At the time of writing, there is only outdoor dining available in LA county so I ate outdoors under a canopy. The heat of the charcoal grill kept me warm during this chilly March night. The atmosphere is very Ktown- Korean music, little strung lights, the smell of seafood on charcoal, and laughter coming from tables brimming with beer and soju.
I was surprised that the service that night was great despite it being outdoors. Food came out at reasonable times and the staff attended to the cooking of the seafood from beginning to end. Ordered Set A for $64.99 before tax and it was enough for my party of 3, although 2 of us don’t eat very much in general. I suggest getting set B if going with a party of 3. I liked the soup side dishes (not pictured) and the simple grilled taste of shrimp and baby octopus (not pictured). The clams are half the size of when I went 2 years ago, but there are double the amount of clams. I prefer the bigger ones but oh well. Everything was straightforward and taste was nothing to complain about.
An enjoyable outdoor experience. Maybe even one that is better outdoors...
Read moreTasty seafood dishes and very good service, especially for Koreatown (servers were proficient in English and since we were new to Dae Bu Do, they explained everything as we progressed thru the meal).
Tables had a charcoal grill insert and seated 4 people max.
I went in a group of 3 and out of the 3 combo sets, we got Combo B $84.99. It was definitely enough food for the 3 of us. It came with a spicy seafood ceviche, an large assortment of different types of clams and other seafood such as abalone, shrimp, oysters, octopus, etc.

Read moreBeen searching for a place to try 장어구이 or eel bbq and this place hit the spot. Seated in 15 mins on a Saturday night. Eel was ~50 and you had to get 2 servings. TONS of food for 2 people. Came with spicy cold seafood noodles, vegetable pancake, steamed eggs, fried shrimp, corn cheese, ddeok soup, stuff for ssam and a variety of sauces. The eel was great in ssam but also dipped into soy sauce with wasabi and ginger. Finished the meal with noodle soup. Service was friendly and cooked the eel to crispy perfection. My one complaint is that sitting outside the music was super loud and top 40 US pop hits...
