6 months ago, I gave this place 4 out of 5 stars. Today, I'm deciding if I want to wait 25 minutes for my favorite pizza. Multiple large booths open( Sunday at 6:30 pm we are a party of 5). Puke and pee in the walkways from the upstairs parking that you're forced to park at and now pay( Certain hours ). It's sad that this place is going downhill. I used to live in at the ones in Orange County because of the atmosphere and service, I ended up apologizing to my kids for making them come there so I could get my favorite pizza. Maybe takeout only now. The one good thing was that the server was on his game. P.S. check your silverware. 6 of ours had food on them still. Good luck!
I decided to go back after more than two years. Still forced to park on the roof of the structure and walk through pee and litter to get down to the restaurant. Inside was much more busy, but the staff was on top of everything. The food came quickly. The waiter and staff kept checking on us. At the end of the night, I explained to the new manager about the conditions that I spoke about years ago still being there. She said she would look into it. I guess we'll see. Also, on the way back out, it was now nighttime, and the lights in the stairs were not working. The picture of all black is literally what the staircase looked like as you entered it from the top level. GOOD LUCK EDIT AGAIN. 9/24 I've stayed away from this place, but my wife decided to do a curbside pick-up order on the app. After placing her order, she drove over and parked next to the curbside pickup area. Because regular patrons were parked in that area. The app said the food would be ready soon, so she checked in. She did receive notice that the food was ready, so she waited for a few minutes, nobody came out. So she rechecked in, and the app reconfirmed that she had already checked in and that an associate would be out shortly. She waited 10 more minutes and called the phone number that's posted on the sign in the area you're supposed to park. She was then informed they no longer do curbside pick up, and she would have to come into the store to pick it up. So basically, the food sat for fifteen minutes for no reason. If this is a BJ corporation, thing, how about fixing your app? But I suspect it's some kind of local decision by this...
Read moreFor starters the host who sat us was rude and cold, but I let that go.
Our server, who informed us she was new to the staff (which we understand) took our order and we didn’t see her again until after the food was brought out. She returned to our table one time after that to refill drinks. While the table next to us (who were primarily Caucasian) she checked on them frequently. We still were understanding as she was “new”. However, when it came time to pay we had to get up and find her to ask for the check. I informed her we were in a rush as we had a movie to catch.
She brings the check, and disappears again. We had to get up again and ask her to come take our money. My husband (who is African American) handed the server a $100 bill, our total was $47. She was hesitant, for some reason to take the money. I watched her walk over to the “to go” counter to ask her co-workers to check the bill. Fine! Big bills have to be checked, I understand.
Where it made me angry was, the server returned and asked “this is going to take a while, are you sure you don’t want pay with a card instead?” My husband stepped out to have a cigarette. I told her no and I needed my change as I we had somewhere to be. I watched the server return to the “to go” counter and ask her coworkers again to “check the bill” after one told her it was fine she continued to ask “are you sure it’s real?”
I asked for my change and a manager at this point. As I was completely offended at this point, I felt her actions were totally related to the color of my husbands skin. We watched as she attended to her other table with a smile, and treated us like we weren’t there. I had to once again leave my table to find the manager for myself since it had been another long stretch before she returned. I told the manager how I felt and that I was completely offended, even more so for my husband. He gave me a bunch of excuses and did not even address the issue and then walked away.
Racism is real and as guests who frequent this location I have NEVER experienced this treatment until last night. I will not be returning to this location to have my husband humiliated ever again. I am mortified! What a horrible way to end...
