I've been to this location a handful of times, the past two in particular have been disastrous. On this visit, I ordered ahead via the app and selected curbside delivery. Along with two kids meals, I ordered a Chick-fil-A sandwich with pickles, bacon and ranch. I paid extra for the bacon. Pictured below is what I actually got. Granted, I could have avoided some of the stress by checking what was in the bags before I left, but I shouldn't have to. One of the kids meals was supposed to come with a kids size fruit punch, but instead came with a medium. Way too much for a small child, so most had to be dumped when we got home. Wasteful. When the employee brought the order to the car, she mentioned that it was the wrong sized drink, so she could have fixed that issue before bringing it out. Also, I got a notification saying that my order was ready, yet I still had to wait a few minutes before it finally came out. What's really annoying, is that they have a surplus of employees working, yet choose to have them doing useless jobs rather than making sure that customer service and quality are up to par. For instance, at the pick up window in the drive thru, there's one employee inside and another 1 foot away just outside the window. The process is, food sits on the counter inside, the inside employee places it on the counter outside, and the outside employee hands it to the customer in the car another 1 foot away. Why this is done is beyond me, as it doesn't make anything more efficient. The reason they get 2 stars rather than 1 is because they're issuing me a refund for today's debacle. It would have been 3 if the refund would have been immediate and if the employee hadn't first told me that "We actually don't offer refunds over the phone". Funny, as that's exactly what ended up happening.
Update 8/5/2019 This place is a joke. I don't understand why it's always so busy.... Low standards? I decided to give them another chance today. Placed an order via the app and chose to pick it up curbside. When I parked in the designated spot, I checked in so that they could begin making the order. I got a message saying that they couldn't fulfill the order at that time and that I needed to come inside the restaurant to process it. If I was able to come inside, I wouldn't have chosen curbside pickup! They now get one star from me, too bad they can't go into the negative, because that's what...
Read moreI can't believe I'm writing a review for a Chick-fil-A, but this is by far the worst Chick-fil-A location I've ever been to in some 15 years of eating at dozens of different locations.
Just in the last 6 months:
-Ordered a breakfast item that they ran out of before filling my order, so the employees threw some basic chicken nuggets in a box and gave it to me without telling me they were out of what I'd ordered. Charged me the higher price for the item I actually ordered. Had to contact corporate for a refund.
-Lost my order between the drive-thru speaker and the pickup window. I mean I literally ordered at the speaker, drove around to the window, waited my turn behind a couple cars, and was told they did not have my order in the system. Told me to wait in a parking space, then they waited a solid 10 minutes for a lull in the drive-thru line to finally bring my order out.
-Made an error (my fault!) in a mobile order. You can't contact the restaurant, because the app doesn't have a contact feature, and their phone just loops back to the menu if you select "speak to a manager." Went inside and employee's response to my question was super condescending and rude - because I'd interrupted him and 3 other guys who were standing around the lone woman filling orders, trying to chat her up. (I've been told that "nearly every employee here is under 20" and yeah, we can tell.)
-This location started charging a "10¢ paper bag fee," claiming it's state-mandated like grocery store bag fees. You can't bring your own bag to avoid the fee because they say it violates state health code. But in reality, the state bag fee only pertains to retail stores - because you can't encourage people to use reusable bags if your business isn't allowed to accept a customer's reusable bag. No signs are posted to advise customers at time of purchase of the fee, it's just hidden on the receipt. They claim you can "just ask" to have it removed, but you'd better catch it before you leave because remember - their phone doesn't work! Have fun standing in line inside to get your dime back.
Seriously if you really want Chick-fil-A just go to Ventura & Winnetka. They're not perfect either but they aren't nearly as bad as...
Read moreWent to the West Hills location around 8pm on 8/22/18. Worst chick fil a I've ever been to. Actually, this is the worst experience at any restaurant ever. The drive thru employees that were handling our food/ taking our money were socializing for a good 1-2 minutes before they even greeted us or even noticed that they had a customer right next to them. Then, the girl that took my money charged me the wrong amount, so I asked her to double check and it turned out she was wrong. No problem, mistakes happen. Then, the guy handing us the food didn’t give us our drinks and wondered why we were still at the drive thru. We asked him for some sauce and he rudely said “check the bottom of the bag! I put like 10 in there.” Cool buddy, no problem. Sorry for bothering you. Then, he forgot to put the 12 piece chicken nuggets that we ordered and insisted that I again “check the bottom of the bag”. So I double checked. Turns out the nuggets weren’t in the bag. These people were VERY rude and unprofessional. I’ve been to many chick fil a’s but I’m never going back to this location ever again. I understand the employees have to deal with a lot of people on a daily basis, but it doesn’t give them an excuse to be rude to a loyal customer. It doesn’t take much to be a polite human being and I believe whoever trained them needs to...
