One of my favorite coffee spots to work at during the fall/winter/spring season. NOT summer. I say this because if you're looking for a quieter working spot, the outdoor patio both downstairs and upstairs are great. The indoor upstairs tables are nice for working but is not quiet enough for meetings as music plays inside. While the outdoor areas do have shade, it tends to get warmer depending on the time of day. They do offer umbrellas and such but sometimes it's obviously still toasty.
Simple menu with good quality coffee and matcha. I'm not a coffee girl but i do love a good matcha and you can usually tell when people are using premade commercial matcha tea powder or actual food grade matcha. I'm not an expert in matcha, truly but if it tastes like what I attempt at home then it's NOT the good stuff
ANYWAY why I also like this place is the brisket burrito. Excellent hearty choice, plus they cut it in half so you can save some of it for later. Jk I ate the whole thing because it was delicious.
Parking: free lot but limited spots Seating: indoor and outdoor tables (sometimes a large group of people waiting on the travel agency next door will take up the downstairs seating for a bit until they're picked up by their travel bus, don't be alarmed, just wait it out)
Wifi: yes and free Plugs: limited outdoor, Payment: cashless, all credit cards, tap to pay
Ambiance: aesthetic local coffee and work shop Dress...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn a quiet, seemingly content day, you may find yourself wondering "what could make my life better?" The breakfast sandwich from MCO, that's what. Actually, MCO as a whole is the true answer. Koreatown has a wonderful knack for creating beautiful spaces that are ordinary yet extraordinary at the same time.
I'm a woman who all about her senses and the first thing that hit me was the wonderful and intoxicating smell of coffee. The coffee had a "I'm quality y'all" smell to it, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. I ordered the cappuccino, MCO salad and breakfast sandwich to split with my friend.
Holy brioche softness Batman! This sandwich had my friend and I repeatedly saying "oh my gosh, this is SO good! Someone at the next table might of thought we were witches trying to conjur up another one because that's how often we repeated it. Sweet and spicy bacon, a sunny side up egg, chipotle aioli, cheddar cheese, green harissa all between a pillow soft brioche bun. The salad was no background singer; trust me. That salad earned all of my undivided attention as well. I mean candied walnuts, sliced almonds, feta, blood orange, c'mon; heaven in a clear plastic bowl.
Lots of outdoor seating: upstairs and down stairs (in the parking lot) that is covered and while I could go on but this is a must try if you are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is cool. The avo toast is better than the majority of other spots.
It's always hot here, though, and I can't figure out why. Maybe the outdoor seating tent is made of the wrong material, idk, but it feels like an oven sometimes under there, and the 2nd floor outdoor seating feels like an airfryer. I think the setup blocks any and all breezes, so I take breaks and go off property to cool down for a bit. I personally leave my things at my table to not lose my spot, but don't be like me.
The parking lot is solid, but they could use more spaces. Once the lot is full, it's impossible to find street parking in the afternoon.
The security guard can be intense, but just ignore him. I've seen people do some questionable driving in the lot, so he's probably just fed up w/the nonsense, and that's valid. Drive like you have common sense, and it's all good.
It gets loud, not the music, but other customers. A group of 6 shows up, and it's non-stop yapping, so always...
