I went to this establishment to print a document. The person at reception was helpful however the computer she sent me to wasn’t working. So I asked Lucia for some help. She directed me to a different computer and when I printed the document it came out weird. I didn’t want a refund however I had no more cash on me and needed the document printed. This being my first time at this location, I asked Lucia for more assistance. She started out helpful however there was something about her tone that just didn’t seem friendly. She gave me instructions on how to print, as well as the paper with the instructions. Someone else asked for her assistance as I was sending the document to the computer. That’s when I noticed her tone definitely changed and was much softer to the Caucasian gentleman who needed her assistance. I sent the document to the computer like she instructed and went back to her for more help so that she could override it. She comes over to me and says “sit down”. I did not want to sit. She explained that she needed to put her password in and that she didn’t want me to see. That’s fine. I stepped to the side but she proceeded to tell me to sit. I told her I didn’t want to sit. Then she asked me to come preview the document. When I did she started to tell me that she was trying to help and that I shouldn’t act that way. I told her it wasn’t me it was her, and then she told me she wasn’t going to help me. It started to upset me how she was acting because at this point, I felt it was a racial issue with Lucia. I went back to the front and asked for assistance from someone else. Once that person actually did help me Lucia proceeded to go to the front entrance and lie to the security guard and receptionist that I was screaming. I never raised my voice. I’m a 30 year old African American woman, and my son was with me. The scene that she made was not only unpleasant, but embarrassing. This is not how you treat people. If you are not a people person and you shouldn’t work in a...
Read moreSmall library, nicely organized. The staff were friendly and helped a lot -- even with silly questions, and I felt safer knowing there is a security guard standing by at the front. I was surprised the parking lot still had places to park as it was only limited spaces. There are a lot of people, but they mind their own business and do their own thing. As mentioned, there are some homeless people sleeping inside, they don't really bother you either, just leave them alone and they'll leave you alone. If you have your own laptop or tablet and need to charge, there is a spot or two next to the computer closest to the front desk -- the outlet being under the table. The internet was fine, it helped me through zoom class as well as watch a few videos while studying. Just be weary about leaving your things, just pack it up and bring it wherever you go as you never know who would...
Read moreSo far no complaints. The librarians are very nice and courteous and I found the books I needed. One in particular was on hold but I eventually checked it out.
Yes, it is small and sometimes the homeless come in but I can't complain about that since I was on the streets at some point and used the public library where I was staying at. I think it's quiet and I've never used the WiFi here but I think it's a very nice place. Little parking space on the side. So far there's always been plenty of spaces to...
