Einstein Bros is not normally my go-to bagel shop but for this being the cheapest option available in Southwest Terminal 1 at LAX, I'd say it was worth the effort. The shop is located directly after clearing TSA and popping into the gate area. There's usually a long line as everyone wants to not only order a bagel sandwich, but also get their coffee fix. You have the option of ordering either on their app or at the counter. While the app is faster, there is no way to modify your order. Being plant-based, I had hoped to just order a bagel or to modify one of their vegetarian bagels to make it fully vegan. Alas, this was not possible, so I ended up going with their Avocado Toast on an Everything Bagel ($5) - simple yes, but effective as it had a lot of avo chunks for such a small bagel sandwich. It took about 20 minutes from waiting in line to receiving my bagel. Not the quickest option but definitely the most affordable if you have time.

Average experience today. The line was quite long as they are one of the few places that open at 4:00 am. The line moved slow. When we arrived at the front to order, the employee was efficient but spoke very quietly and was hard to hear. The wait for the food was a little longer than expected, taking the line and early hour into consideration. We noticed that the employee calling out order names for pickup was very soft spoken and this caused quite a bit of confusion. Many people were looking at each other and asking if they had heard the name that was called. This caused a few people several extra minutes as they tried to sort out the orders. Our sandwiches, the All Nighters, were good, but hastily put together with all the bacon on one side of the sandwich. The temperature and taste were good. Nice choice for the airport early, but lots of opportunities for improvement.

Some people are so rude. I really wanted Einstein Bagels because there isn't one near me. 😔 Unfortunately, the service was the rudest I experienced. I was shamed for having a hot flash and deciding to not to get hot tea. Did I mention Hot tea or Hot coffee were the the only beverages they were serving. Order a cup of ice and was charged for it. When I didn't receive it I was aggressively told it was canceled from my order and I wasn't charged. Thank to the girl serving the food for proving the 1/4 cup of ice. I wasn't given an option for a receipt nor would they print one. In addition, I paid in cash and they couldn't give me change, so I had to find the exact amount down to the penny, all because the cashier couldn't count. I saw the cash in the draw.

Beware: Major Issues with DoorDash Orders at Einstein Bros Bagels LAX

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Einstein Bros Bagels at LAX, and I want to warn others to avoid ordering through DoorDash for this location.

On June 19th, I placed an order through Google Maps, which was processed by DoorDash. I was charged and received a receipt, along with multiple email confirmations that my order was ready for pickup. But when I arrived at the location, they had no record of my purchase. I was told they don’t even accept DoorDash orders! Yet, they took my money without hesitation.

Despite showing proof of my order, the staff couldn’t provide me with my food or issue a refund because, according to them, there was nothing in their system to show my purchase. How is this even possible? It’s beyond ridiculous.

To make matters worse, when I checked Google reviews, I found others have experienced the same issue. This is not an isolated incident—it’s a pattern, and it feels like a scam. The DoorDash support was useless, and I ended up having to pay twice just to get my food.

If you’re thinking about ordering from this location through DoorDash/Google, DON’T. It’s a nightmare, and you’ll likely end up out of pocket with no food to show for it. Einstein Bros Bagels needs to fix...

It's Monday morning 12/13/21 at 0830ish..4 employees working, girl at the register taking orders was quick, happily helpful w/my questions and very pleasant to myself & each customer before & after me (listened while waiting). The person preparing the orders was quick and the other girl calling us when orders were ready was also polite and quick (and Loud enough so we heard our names called from area most were waiting). Prices appeared decent for airport prices. My bagel was fresh, soft and good and the egg & cheese was good & not over or undercooked and was under $8.00 (I know not bad for airport prices!!) 👍..I was happy w/service & food...I was originally in line next door at Urth Cafe but after a few of us being ignored by their staff for 5 mins we all made our way to Einstein Bagle and all of us mentioned much better Customer Service here..... Just read all the other reviews below mine and apparently their Customer Service etc was lacking in past..Either I got a great crew working today who take pride in their jobs or LAX terminal1 Einstein Bagles got their act together, hoping it's the latter...But definetly the employees this morning deserve a raise if making under $14./hour,...

Absolute worst service!!! My son has a food allergy and these workers did not seem to care. We informed them multiple times when ordering and then again confirmed when picking up the sandwhich. A young man confirmed it was ok. Then upon getting to our gate, we discovered it had cheese. I went back to let the young lady that gave it to us that it was not correct. She said it was, so I had to show her. Then she said "so you don't want the sandwhich"? I said of course not, he can't eat it! She then took the sandwhich and threw it away. Then turned and went to walk away. I said hold on, I need our sandwhich. She said "you didn't want it" to which I had to reply because it was wrong, I need a new one. They literally huffed and went to a worker had them put a new bagel with cold egg and bacon and threw them on and gave me the sandwhich. Did not even bother to heat it up. Horrible staff and workers that either don't care or are poor workers. Either way, shouldn't be working in...
