My order: Little Cheeseburger, "all the way/everything" + jalapenos = $4.39 Cajun Fries, sized regular = $2.99 Total: $8.03
You can get mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup and mustard. The thing about getting it "all the way" is that everything blends in together and I can't really taste each individual topping, esp. on the 'little' or one-patty burger versus the 2-patty. The jalapenos were really hot, especially with the regular seasoned cajun fries (with a mild kick), which was more than enough for 3 people snacking. I usually love spicy foods, but I decided not to eat 2 out of the 4 jalapenos I got.
I didn't specify how to cook my meat, but by default they go with well done if you don't ask for "juicy," the other option. Fries are cooked in 100% peanut oil. Speaking of peanuts, they're free on the side after you order and you can throw the shells on the ground. It's not a circus, but I definitely saw/stepped on my share.
There was a lot of seating and my order came out pretty quickly, as in I wasn't waiting longer than 10 minutes. Drinks were $2.09 for a regular soft drink and there were free refills, but I didn't bother.
Overall, the meat is tastes fresher than other fast food joint burgers and you have a variety of toppings to choose from. Although it is a bit pricier than other burgers, they do give you more options. Next time, I'll probably get green peppers, grilled mushrooms & onions, with A1 steak sauce, but I probably won't be rushing...
Read moreThis East coast burger joint has definitely made its mark in the West. Everything is made fresh to order and absolutely delicious.
You can pile your burgers and hot dogs with as many or as little toppings as you want, ranging from your standard burger ingredients and condiments like lettuce and mustard to more uncommon options like bbq or A1 sauce. They only serve their meat well-done, but it sure is juicy and flavorful!
The perfectly seasoned Cajun fries are really what set Five Guys apart; order a large to share (or not), and they'll fill a cup, pour it in a bag, then fill that bag. Every Five Guys I've been to has been generous with the fries.
The shakes are on a whole another level. You can mix and match as many flavors and mix-ins as you want, ranging from vanilla to bacon (yes, bacon!). They are a must try and a great way to top off the meal.
Overall, Five Guys is a fair bit pricier than your standard fast food burger joint, but it sure is worth it. Just don't come here if you have peanut allergies! (They offer free peanuts for patrons) The workers are always super friendly, and each location I've been to does a great job of looking retro and keeping clean at...
Read moreWonderful experience at this location everytime we go. Without a doubt best service in the food industry. The Five Guys in Simi Valley shutdown, so whenever we want to get our burger fix we have the option to choose between the Thouand Oaks location or the Northridge location. We went to the TO location once and service was okay, they messed up our order and the layout of the seating was a bit blocked off. We then tried the Northridge location, and from our first visit there, and everytime since, service has been out of this world wonderful. The staff greet you, like genuinely greet you. They are patient when you order. They literally treat the place as if it were their own. They come to work and put their heart and soul into what they do. I always leave the Northridge location satisfied knowing they made my food with good energy. God...
