Overall: 4.4/5 (delivery) We ordered on Postmates, and the food was delivered in half an hour. All the portion sizes & prices were great. Birria de Res Tree Tacos Plate ($16.95): I'm also craving birrias tacos when I want tacos. This was a great deal since other places charge like $5/birria tacos & extra $ for the consome. The rice and beans were okay and on the blander side. I didn't really like the consome and there wasn't a lot of meat. The tacos had a lot of meat but they were lacking flavor overall. Wouldn't get this item again. Happy Burrito ($14.95): I saw a lot of good reviews for their burritos so I had to try one of their popular ones. The happy burrito did not disappoint and was so good! There's 3 type of proteins so I was pretty full from eating half of it. Everything about it was good except the grilled carne asada had a lot of the tendons so i had to chew and spit these out a couple of times (definitely not cute for a date). Other than that issue, this is probably my favorite item. Cajun Shrimp Crispy Taco ($6.95): We didn't eat our food right away so we were quite surprised that the taco shell remained crispy the entire time. The shrimps were big and juicy. All the right flavors were there. I can see why this is a popular item. This was also my husband's favorite item of the 3 we tried.

We heard that California had great breakfast burritos and we were in the area so we decided to check Happy Taco out. Because we were here on a Saturday, we also wanted some eats from the Salvadoran Street Food Market so we only grabbed 1 breakfast burrito to share. Nonetheless, it was delicious. I love that we ordered from the small window, the experience was new since we're from Toronto. We got to sit at the patio while we waited for our burrito and it was nice and sunny out. We ordered the Chorizo breakfast burrito with tater tots. It was crazily delicious and I wish we got a second one (they also came with chips and salsa which was such a nice touch). Definitely check this place out for breakfast burritos! Highly recommend.

The service here is always quick and easy. The food is fantastic. We got the carne asada burrito and crispy shrimp taco plate. The shells for the shrimp tacos were super crispy and flavorful! And their guacamole makes you wanna shadow box with the wind cuz it’s so good. The carne asada was juicy and tender with so much flavor. The portion size is big so you will leave there feeling full. They have a small outside area to dine in. That’s what we did. Usually I get it to go. But today we had extra time so it was a beautiful time. Good job to the cooks and staff at happy taco. I’ve come 3 times this week! Thank you!

I've eaten here numerous times over the years and this place never disappoints. Sometimes they lack in condiments or forget to include a straw, but the food itself is always good. I particularly enjoy their tacos, burritos, tortas (especially their SUPER Tortas which easily take me 2 days to eat because they're so HUMONGOUS lol), their horchatas, their Happy Nachos, Happy Fries, regular fries, quesadillas (OMG the chicken Asado quesadilla is DELICIOUS, love the way they cook the chicken. My favorite meat at mexican spots is usually the Asada steak or the Pastor [has to have pineapples though], but their Asado Chicken is actually a contender), the beans, chips and salsa, literally nothing I've tried here was bad. Definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Hell, I'm even considering ordering there again today....hmmm 🤔🤔 lol I do also like the lemonade but it's not usually available to order from Postmates or Uber Eats; can only get that when I order in person. But I usually just get the Horchata and have my own lemonade here at the house.

Definitely recommend eating here. I've never had their breakfast dishes, so can't really comment on those, but all their lunch/dinner dishes have been great. Keep up the good work, and try to make more condiments available. Not enough to knock off any stars, but it's a small critique. I'll continue to support and patronize this restaurant.

Leo's Taco truck on Venice and La Brea are still THEE best, but Happy Taco is def a good back up when I don't feel like going that far out of the way. I stay way closer to Happy Taco at the moment so I tend to patronize it the most. That may change whenever I'm ready to move from my current location. But sometimes when I'm out and about more West, I go to Leo's Taco truck for their bomb al pastor burritos and tacos. Leo's is also open a lot later than Happy Taco as well (till 3am) so that makes a...

If you're looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food, look no further than Happy Taco! This cozy little restaurant is an absolute gem, serving up some of the best tacos I've ever had.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly service. The staff at Happy Taco truly go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy and satisfied. They even offered suggestions on what to order and made sure my food was just the way I liked it.

And let me tell you, the food did not disappoint! Every bite was bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The tacos were a particular standout - filled with juicy meat, fresh salsa, and a perfect balance of spices.

But the best part of my experience at Happy Taco was the overall vibe of the place. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with bright colors and fun decor. It felt like a true hidden gem, a little slice of Mexican heaven tucked away in the city.

Overall, I can't recommend Happy Taco enough. From the amazing food to the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, it truly exceeded all of my expectations. If you're in the mood for some delicious Mexican food, do yourself a favor and check out Happy Taco - you...
