I have been to many King Taco's and this by far is the worst. The cashiers are SLOW as in movement of a sloth. They make mistakes with your order and then are condescending as if they gave you food and you didn't pay. I ordered five burritos. One for me w the red sauce (if you have been here you know the red sauce is HOT) and the others for my kids and my husband. They DON'T eat spicy food. Well my kid took one bite and started crying. He got one with red sauce. The fool gave me two with red sauce. I was livid because I made sure to repeat my order first with the cashier then again w the guy who prepared my food. I explained to him what happened and he didnt apoligize didnt offer to give me another one. I had to make him give me a fresh one WITHOUT the red sauce. When i went back my little boy was crying and wanted horchata. So I tought they should give me one for the horrible mistake they just made. I went and told the cashier, she didnt apologize and called the 'Manager' Victor. I explained to him and asked if I could get an horchata for my kid to calm him down (I felt i shouldn't have to pay for it just on principle). He arrogantly told me we don't give food for free. Which I know, I wasnt asking him to give me a free drink but rather compensate me for THEIR EGREGIOUS SCREW UP. He took out his money from his pocket at which point I took out my wallet ( I had plenty of money to cover the two dollar drink like I said he should have apologized PROFUSELY and given me the dang drink.) Dont go here you will save yourself time and grief. I have been here several times and have always had an issue but never say anything. Honestly I think because they sell so much there service has gotten rrally mediocre. Go to another one! They forget that customers keep them open. I for one will not give them my business ever again! Will go to El Taurino better. Or will rather drive 15 miles to the one on Ford from now on. Plus this one is ALWAYS DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY!! The floor always has food and tables are dirty. Do yourself a favor Go to a different one!

King Taco has been around for over 40 years, serving LA some very affordable tacos. They're on the smaller side, but each pair of tacos is only $1.70. That's tough to beat. Each order comes in a pair. I love when tacos (or anything really) comes in twos, because it is great for sharing! Two warm corn tortillas with meat, garnished with chopped cilantro and onion, salsa, wrapped in aluminum foil. Mr. Joy and I shared the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Carnitas tacos and a Tamale. They were very good for such an inexpensive meal. $2.15 Chicken in Green sauce Tamale - Cooked in corn husks, prepared with corn meal dough: This was an okay tamale, a little on the dry, gummy side, but the chicken tasted alright. $2.15 Pina (pineapple) Aguas Frescas: I love pineapple juice, so I thought I would enjoy this. I was a little concerned that it would be too sour, but they seem to add sugar to it. It's quite sweet and helps balance out the savory meat and onion flavor of the tacos. Craving a taco or not, if I am near a King Taco, and I am looking for an inexpensive meal, this would be a great option for just that.

I've been going to the Pico location for 8 years. The service has gotten lousy over the past year. Employees are rude; don't get the order correct, so the food isn't made as ordered. Asking to speak to a manger is a joke, the manager doesn't speak - she glares and whispers to her underlings.

It's King Taco, how complicated can an order be? No beans, no sauce on some, and extra sauce on some.

If they don't visually recognize your debit / credit card they won't accept it but make the order anyway and tell you that you have to come back to pay. I was told me to go down the street and use an ATM (it cost $2.50 and then my bank charged an additional $2.00 after the fact). My bad, but I wasn't sure if they'd call the cops for non-payment. To top it off I was followed out of the store to see if I went to the ATM.

Then the the woman who took the order hovered over me when I picked up my food after having to re-order it. Really? I'm a professional middle aged, quiet person who was buying food for my staff. Very sad that the KT employees are not managed by a professional who can help with simple issues. It's NOT worth it anymore. In this economy you'd think they'd be more conscientious about making customers happy (within reason). Goodbye King Taco - not...

Several factors going into my 1 star review. 1. Service - horrible. Not only do you have to wait about 15 minutes to just order, the attitude to the food prep folks are horrible. I ordered a burrito, 5 tacos, quesadilla, and asada nachos. After another 20 minutes for food prep, they handed me 4 small hot sauce to which I asked for few more given size of my order - nope, she said that's the limit based on my order. Can I have some jalapeños for the nachos? I get a small scoop and again when I asked for more, not a chance. I asked if I can just pay for more sauce and peppers and she suggested I stand back in line. Really? King Taco isnt known for their service but this is the worst of all the locations I've been. Parking - horrible. Very small parking lot and I've witnessed at least 2 potential fights over a spot. Area isn't the best and certainly not worth getting shot over a spot. You can also street park and walk some but not recommended during night. Cleanliness - overall needs more attention and bathrooms definitely need work. Food - standard King Taco fare, solid 3.5 out of 5. The sauce is what really makes it special but they skimp on that so might as...
