The owner replied this my comment with “reviewing the camera footage and there no seat”, first my point even if there is not an empty seat, you as a restaurant should not take about an hour just a for bowl with ramen. If this is the speed for your restaurant, you should not open a restaurant. Second, my point is about the server’s attitude: that she asked us what do you want to drink and after 10-15 min she forgot and never brought water!!!! And I had to ask and she acted like I never mentioned I wanted water. Third: we order two ramens in the first place 100% sure. We even finger acted a two to your server, and when only one ramen came, we asked, and your server mentioned that we never said we wanted to order two ramen, lol and she said she even asked if we only want one BUT SHE NEVER DID ASK US IF WE WANT TWO RAMEN OR ONLY ONE. if you can check your security camera, just the sound and see if she REALLY ASKED :) Maybe she is in her dream. DONT GO. LOL. So ridiculous. And you replied my comment without mentioning about the important thing I mentioned. LOLLLL

Worst experience Ever – “Be Ready to Wait an Hour only for a Bowl of Ramen and takoyaki”

I never gave a 1 star review on Yelp, but now, I can’t stand this place. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant! When we walked in, there were empty tables, yet the server told us we’d have to wait an hour, I even pointed out an available table, and she said we should still wait. Finally, we sat down and ordered. She asked what we’d like to drink, and I said just water. We waited for 15-20 minutes, and no water came, so I had to go ask for it. When she finally brought the water, she acted like I was never told her I want water. I asked how much longer our food would take, and she reminded me we’d have to wait an hour. I’m thinking, “Really? With all people -finished restaurant?”

After more waiting, our food finally arrived, and she even said, “I prioritized this because of your request.” I was speechless. Then, the shocker: she only brought one bowl of ramen. We ordered two. I asked where the second bowl was, and she insisted we only ordered one, claiming she even confirmed with us. Both my friend and I were stunned – she had never confirmed anything with us. I had clearly ordered two bowls.

This place is ridiculous. If it takes an hour to serve only ramen, maybe they shouldn’t be open. And the server was unbelievably insistent about things she never even said. Terrible experience. Don’t waste your time here!

Ambiance: a bright, clean, nicely adorned establishment, with a striking painting as a feature wall...the wait and serving staff definitely contributed to the overall ambiance...

Service: as with the many other reviewers, our experience was very similar with respect to the service, as our server was knowledgeable, friendly, competent, helpful, and attentive...did I say friendly...definitely one of the elements we will take away from the evening...

Food: on the recommendation of our server, who was very helpful, knowledgable, friendly, and attentive, we ordered the Takoyaki and our server's favourite Spicy Garlic Pork Shoyu Ramen x 2. The latter was described as a "spicy soy sauce tonkatsu broth with garlic is served with two slices of chashu pork, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, egg, fried onions, seaweed, green onions, and buttered corn". I absolutely love ramen, and, to me, what defines any bowl is the soup base, described by a very learned chef as "an intensely porky, opaque pale broth with a sticky-lipped intensity, with the rich, buttery texture of light cream; the best sports tiny nubbins of fat swimming around on their surface, a slick of mayu (black garlic oil) or chile-sesame paste, a handful of thin-sliced green onions, a soft-yolked soy-sauce tinged egg, and a few slices of meltingly tender chashu pork belly". The broth definitely reflected the events described, and the many hours spent in preparation, with a rich texture and flavour, complemented, but not over-powered by either the chili nor the garlic. It was a wonderful recommendation that we would order again!

All in all, the evening that left us very satisfied in terms of having our hunger sated, and taste buds quite happy... the true test is whether we return, and, should we find ourselves back in the city, we would most definitely make a return trip to try...

I ordered the jumbo shrimp with spicy sauce it came out lukewarm. When I informed the waitress, she had them reheat it in the microwave so it came back to me rubbery. I also ordered the spicy garlic chicken ramen. It’s listed as shredded chicken on the menu but I was served a fatty deconstructed chicken nugget. The manager explained ppl complained about the shredded chicken disappearing into the soup so he changed it to chicken thigh. The problem is I don’t like fatty meats. I requested it to be remade without the chicken. He insisted I have a protein so he gave me an extra egg. It was sooo delicious 10/10 when remade. I had spice level 2 and the use of saffron was remarkable.

I decided to give a second chance with my mother for lunch. I told the waitress how I’d like it: spicy garlic chicken ramen, no chicken, sub an egg. She told me they can’t make substitutions. I said I will pay for the extra egg but don’t put the chicken in my bowl. How did it come to me?? Full of fatty chicken!!! My mother ordered the shrimp and said it was cold! When I told the server there was chicken in the bowl, she didn’t believe me. “Ma’am where’s the chicken, I spit it into a napkin and told her to look through the bowl when she took it back. I had them remake the soup but my mom insisted we take our food to go. I threw it away at home because I didn’t trust it. We paid for everything even though we didn’t like it. I never should have gone back. But the remake was sooooo good the first time. I will never recommend anyone come here unless the manager is there making the...

Drove down Olympic and see a sign claiming the best ramen, from Japan. Challenge accepted! Small place but a clean and efficient layout. Asked for the most popular and get recomended B8 as the favorite, it's the spicy garlic pork shoyu broth. Requested to get an egg added, hostess states it already comes with one. Extra point already. Received bowl, first impression, presentation looks amazing, smells really good too. First taste of the broth is amazing, a taste or garlic but not too much, a feel of spice but not too much atleast not to hide the broth flavor, a 2.5 on my 5 point scale. Onto the noodles, tasty, clean, perfectly cooked. I slurp on the broth and noodles until I realized I havent even tried the meat, Why you ask? I was so enamored with the broth and noodle that I totally ingored the pork, dont get me wrong it's good, yummy but this is new, I've never ignored the pork for so long, I might even say the pork is an extra topping compared to the flavorful broth and perfect noodle. Is this the perfect ramen bowl? I can't claim that, yet. Will this replace my favorite current spot? maybe, It's a huge claim after only my first visit, but to even ask that after one visit says a lot. What I can say is I will be back, hungry for more. A++
