Businesses with policies like this shouldn't be allowed to exist. Was coming in on a late flight from Memphis and they didn't serve any decent food on the aircraft. That's fine. Hungry and tired I spotted this place and politely ordered a burrito/salad just before they closed. A lot of people from my flight were in there. Every table was taken but there were only 2 people sitting at the bar with all the rest free and open. With a 20% tip included I spent just under $30 for a Burrito and salad. I sat down at the bar intending to quickly eat my food and then rush to get a ride share to my hotel. No sooner did I sit down at the bar the bar tender gruffly asked me what I was drinking. I said, I'm just here to eat my food thanks. He then curtly told me I couldn't sit at the bar and that I had to sit at one of the tables. Admittedly I'm very hungry and indignant as I had just tipped 20% for food I ordered at a counter. I looked behind me and said "Where exactly do you suggest I sit?"
Keep in mind there were no fewer than 10 empty barstools at that bar, it wasn't exactly like I was keeping the man from his precious tips. It's not enough to charge $27 for a burrito, now I can't even eat it without an additional shakedown? I almost threw my food away I was so mad. I left and found a place well outside the restaurant to quickly eat what ended up being an 'okay' meal. I fly in and out of that terminal a lot and I will never set foot in that...
Read morePork in pork bowl had zero flavor. I have to believe it was just boiled pork shoulder with nothing added to the water.
Salsa served with the chips and salsa looked like the bottom of a dish sink when you finish washing the dishes. In all seriousness, it tasted and looked like they took the canned "Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce" and stuck it in the blender with water.
The chips with the chips and salsa were stale and had no salt.
Every communication with the waitress was a willful misinterpretation to try to up sell me on gauc, pico, or queso for everything. She also asked three separate occasions if I want alcohol during the ordering process. I don't drink, I think saying no once was enough.
I asked for a cup of water, I was told "no fountain, only bottled". She then brought me what was highly alkaline water that was 6$ a bottle. I personally think that type of water tastes awful and is bad for you, so I don't order it. I saw her give other tables disposable cups and saw perrier in their fridge as an alternate water choice.
I didn't bring up the prices because it is an airport restaurant in los Angeles. Atmosphere was ok, I thought the booth was nicely cushioned.

Read moreI never expect much from an airport restaurant and this place was no exception. The food was borderline inedible. The service was meh. They brought me a chicken burrito when I ordered a veggie burrito. I then had to wait another fifteen minutes for the right burrito to be made while my companion's burrito got cold while waiting for mine. The waitress was overwhelmed and it was clear that not enough people were scheduled to work. As if this is not enough, the restaurant then has the audacity to charge an 18% service charge for horrible service and food and then asks for gratuity on top of that. I still left a tip because it is not the employee's fault their employer is a greedy scum bag! For a restaurant to be so disgusting and to have 38% of the bill going to service charges and gratuity is absolutely pathetic. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to throw money away at these hidden charges that aren't displayed anywhere prior to ordering. Very shady and...
