Mel's Diner is a classic American diner that is located in the heart of Hollywood. The diner is known for its delicious food, friendly service, and casual atmosphere. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Mel's Diner is a great place to enjoy a meal.
I recently visited Mel's Diner with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. We started our meal with the Nitro Brew coffee milkshake, which was creamy and delicious. For our entrees, I ordered the Arnold's Power Pancakes with Blueberry Banana Compote, and my wife ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and were very flavorful.
After our meal, we took a walk around the Hollywood Museum, which is located next door to the diner. The museum is a great place to learn about the history of Hollywood and the stars who made it famous.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Mel's Diner. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was casual. I would highly recommend Mel's Diner to anyone looking for a great meal in Los Angeles.

Read moreI haven’t walked around Hollywood for a while, so I decided to make my way out there and act like a tourist. It was fun to walk around and explore all the museums and souvenir shops, but all that walking can work up quite the appetite!
I noticed the grand re-opening sign, and decided to grab some comfort food. The menu features their new Hollywood Museum Burger, along with other classics such as my go to at Mel’s, the Short Rib Grilled Cheese.
On our most recent trip, I was curious to try something new, but I couldn’t stop myself from ordering the Short Rib Grilled Cheese with Garlic Parmesan Fries! The hubby decided to order Mel’s Southern Fried Chicken, and we shared a Fresh Banana Shake (which was actually my first time trying it!).
The Short Rib Grilled Cheese is always good. They packed the sandwich with meat, and that horseradish aioli gives the entree a nice kick! The Garlic Parmesan was a nice addition to the meal, and made the fries even tastier. Though I wish they added even more of that garlic infused cheese on the fries! I tried a bite of the fried chicken and found it to be delicious as well. Nice, crispy and juicy meat. The fresh banana milkshake was also really good. It was my husband’s favorite back in the day, so we were fighting over the milkshake and should’ve ordered two!
Alma, our server was also really great. She was very attentive, helpful and provided us with wonderful service!
They do validate for 1 hour free parking, which is a plus in the area!
Awesome place for those late night diner cravings, will be back for those...
