So dramatically disappointing. I would not recommend here. Their current score and photos ended up deceiving. I can't speak to the chicken here, but I felt I had to speak to everything else.
My friends visited from out of town and we all love potstickers, dumplings, etc. We thought this would be a great idea for dinner and to over order ($100+) because we "knew" we'd eat them (Spoiler: Ended up throwing them all out because within 8 hours they were oozing a rotten smell enough to fill their airbnb when opening the fridge). We tried multiple plates, pan-fried, steamed and boiled, including the beef dumpling soup. Majorly, we could barely tell the difference in their filling. Them being cooked differently still barely set them apart in taste/texture. The shrimp, if there was any in the dishes there were suppose to be was either not noticeable or no longer good. The fillings were very vegetable forward. I wonder if this impacted the flavors of what actually separated them? Everything was meh. There was no dish that stood out in any manner.
I wouldn't say the service was bad enough for a 1 star, but it definitely was not good. They forgot my friends drink more than once between two different servers. Our order was big so I'd like to give them a benefit of the doubt, as the server who took our order did repeat it back to us correctly, but one plate we ordered two of but cooked differently ended up exactly the same.
The place was nice and clean though! Keeping it somewhat positive. I had considered leaving a review because of how disappointed we were at the end of the meal, my friends even questioned giving some to the dog as there was no strong desire to eat it other than the fact that we all hate wasting any food.
Ultimately what really brought me to leave a review and the score down as low as possible was immediately taking our leftovers home to the fridge, but within 8 hours the smell was unbelievable for that amount of time since getting them supposedly freshly served - we had to throw them out.
It really made us uncomfortable knowing we had only eaten the same thing that was rotten only so long beforehand. Making us think, what did...
Read moreMy son loves dumplings, so we were excited to check out one of the dumpling places that just opened in our local area -- Myungin dumplings! Our unsavory experience started as soon as we got seated. The waitress proceeded to clean the table with an obviously dirty towel without using any visible disinfecting solution. Then, with her very unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude, brought out four glasses of water along with the very odd and dirty-looking container that appeared to be a plastic bottle with the top cut off and a faded company name and logo printed on the side (picture attached). The water inside the container did not look clean and was very unappealing. Then she started to bring out and very unprofessionally threw some small dishes on the table at us, such as kimchi, shredded cabbage, and sweet and sour radish. One of the dishes had hair on it (picture attached). When we mentioned there was a hair on it, she removed the dish and walked away looking upset that we pointed it out. The manager did not ever come out to offer anything, not even an apology. The chicken fried rice we ordered was brought out on the plate and it was so poorly plated that it looked like someone had already eaten half of it. It was very unappetizing (picture attached). The menu showed "Dim Sum 10 pieces. Steam dumplings w/pork, shrimp, egg, cabbage, and chives". The "Dim Sum" dumplings that we actually received were mostly stuffed with chopped inexpensive filler vegetables, a miniscule amount of chopped pork, and it was very difficult to find any bits of shrimp. There were some dishes that we ordered that were just never brought out to us and the wait staff made no mention of it and neither did we. We just wanted to leave as soon as possible. What a disappointing and unsatisfactory dining experience!!! I would NOT recommend this...
Read moreThis was a reasonable meal, but not top notch overall. But we didn't order any dumplings, so perhaps that would have made a difference. The banchan - the side dishes, were mediocre. But at least they provided some! Three dishes - an average kimchi, a very dull pickled radish (not a lot of flavor), and some shredded lettuce with thousand island dressing (not exciting). We had a half order of soy garlic fried chicken - very tasty, although you can't always tell what part of the chicken you are eating (they are cutting up the chicken themselves, which is not unusual). THe fried chicken is cooked very well and the coating is crispy, then they just dump whichever sauce you order on top. I would order this again. We also ordered bulgogi, which is a new dish and not on the regular menu. This was VERY good, I wish we ordered a full order instead of a half order (for two people). Very tasty. Servings were a bit small but reasonably priced. I did like that they are cooking everything fresh for you. Service was friendly and reasonably attentive. I guess I was just put off by the...
