My friend has never had Korean fried chicken before, and I wanted him to try it, so we came to this place. The taste of the fried chicken is great. We absolutely loved it. My friend said it was the best fried chicken he's ever had. I think he's exaggerating, but it's good—very delicious.
Now, you're probably wondering why I'm giving it a 2-star rating. It would have been a 5-star place in my book, but they really messed up in the service category. We ordered on the kiosk, and then we were told that we could not sit inside to eat our chicken because it's for takeout only if we order from the kiosk. We ended up having to find a spot in the courtyard and ate our meal on the concrete floor. It might have been our oversight for not seeing the sign, but it's disheartening and inflexible for a restaurant to refuse to let its customers enjoy their meal inside the restaurant. The place had only one table of customers and had plenty of available tables for us to sit. We even asked if we could sit outside, but they said no. I think they were worried about the tips, which we would have left them some if they let us enjoy our meal there. Later, they saw that I was taking a video, so I think they realized that I'm some sort of reviewer. Shortly after that, one of the staff members came out to the courtyard, gave us some napkins, and apologized. But that was a little too late. We were mostly done at that point. It ruined the experience for my friend's first Korean fried chicken.
The atmosphere was average. Nothing notable to mention, except for the few tables they provided for...

One tip for you is to order Crispy!
Crispy signature fried chicken: the signature sauce was sweet and had a kick of spiciness. It tasted like the yangnyum chicken I remember from Korea. All fried chicken had a crispy coat outside so that when I bit into it, it made a crunch sound. The inside was very warm and the meat was so tender!
Crispy honey soy fried chicken: interesting sauce. It's more sweet than salty, meaning there's more of honey. I liked it! It was a different take on fried chicken.
Twisted donut: wow! I didn't think I'd like it since I was so full from the chicken but this was darn delicious! It had more of a rice cake (dduk) than your typical donut texture so think of it like mochinut. It was served warm, freshly fried, coated with sugar and cinnamon. Yumz!!
A pitcher of Kirin draft beer: fresh and carbonation - very refreshing.
We were also served with 2 sides of cabbage salad sprinkled with mayo sauce and pickled radish. When we asked for more salad, the servers gave us more!
I'd...

I recently visited Pelicana inside Madang Courtyard and had such a great experience! I honestly didn’t visit this place in the first place because when they first opened, the reviews were pretty questionable, but the chicken turned out to be exactly how I like it—super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I tried the new Spicy White Crunch (boneless only) and it was perfectly spicy for heat lovers like me! For something milder, I heard that their white crunch is also delicious. Oh and the Honey Soy was a huge hit at our table too.
They also have a variety of fun Korean pub-style side dishes—the White Garlic Fries were delicious, but my personal favorite was the Peli Choco Ball—so unique and addictive!
The vibe is very much like a Korean pub, chill but fun, and the fact that they have 4-hour validated parking made the whole experience even better.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely, especially if you want to enjoy some great K-chicken and drinks without worrying...
