My husband just called me because he was refused service at the Northridge fashion mall location, Nordoff and Tampa. He was going through the drive-through, and was simply trying to clarify his order with the barista so she would get it correctly. When he arrived at the drive-through window, the manager. Tommy told my husband that clarifying his order was being rude, and he refused service to him. my husband has patronized that location for over four years since we own a business 1 mile away. I personally work for American Airlines in premium customer service and the behavior that Tommy the manager displayed towards my husband was completely unacceptable! my husband was so upset that he called me right after the encounter and I then contacted Tommy the manager by phone. Tommy gave me a half hearted apology and a half hearted excuse that he was training the barista, and that she had had an overwhelming day and couldn’t take much more. I then responded to Tommy that I have been a supervisor in aviation and have trained many crewmembers. Never ever would I refuse service to a customer simply because they were trying to clarify something that they were saying, especially since my husband did it in a calm manner. I told him that there are ways to de-escalate situation if he felt that my husband’s clarification wasn’t up to his standard and that never ever in the over 20 years I have been a Starbucks customer have I ever seen this type of horrible treatment! I hope this message carries some weight with the corporate headquarters because if Tommy is the type of manager you have working for your company, then you were going to lose business, since you have...
Read moreI ordered a drink a few days ago, and asked for oat milk as I am allergic to dairy. I leave the drive through and start to drink my drink and then notice it tastes different. I called to ask if it was oat milk if maybe they forgot to put it on the sticker and the employee that I was on the phone said “does it look dairy?” … I was actually so confused. I went back for a new drink so I can receive oat milk this time and when I went in the drive through I was trying to explain to the girl that I was there a few minutes ago and that they gave me whole milk instead of oat milk. (I had ordered 2 pumps of brown sugar in my drink originally) She cut me off before I could say anything else and told me to pull up to the next window. As I pulled up to the next window the girl gave me a venti and slammed the window. I waited because the brown sugar I ordered was not in the drink because the girl at the speaker ignored me. I waited for her to open the window again because I paid for these extra things I wanted in my drink. The manager came to the window with the most outrageous attitude and then proceeded to tell me I was lucky that the employee accidentally gave me a venti the second time. I said no I’m not lucky because I had to waste my gas coming back. The worst service I’ve ever...
Read moreHours online say it closes at 10pm. It closes at 8pm. Staff member was very rude extremely rude gave no warning that it would be closing soon, then at 8pm yelled through the store, "OK EVERYONE! STARBUCKS IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED!!" When the woman waiting for her drink said, she thought it was 9:30, and I said, "Online it says 10pm..." she cut us off, dismissed us, then tried to tell us that ALL Starbucks dining rooms close at 8pm & only the drive through stays open later. I know for a fact this is inaccurate. Adding insult to injury, she had already locked one of the doors (again, no warning) and forced us to use another door, rather than just letting us out the door we entered through. RUDELY. Did I expect her to stay open another 2 hours? OF COURSE NOT. That's unreasonable. What I ABSOLUTELY expect is courtesy, and not acting as if we were somehow at fault and over staying out welcome. Even a simple acknowledgement of the discrepancy and giving correct info for the future would have been acceptable. I went there to work, ordered a drink and food, and was kicked out after about 30 or 40 minutes - again, RUDELY. Completely...
