Sumptuous African Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Angeles

My husband and I tried this place back when they first opened in MDR. Usually we eat and love EVERYTHING so we expected this place to be delicious. My favorite cuisine is Ethiopian so I was so excited to have a different African cuisine on the West side to try.

We were disappointed as we asked for recommendations on their best dishes for take-out and ordered 3 entrees and a couple sides and were charged over $80!!! They didn't even seem to want us there and it was like pulling teeth to get a recommendation. I had a goat dish that was absolutely impossible to chew and tasted bland.

says 20 dollars on the menu but charged me 30. if you ask they will tell you the price just changed. HOWEVER, the price of the same dish on uber eats is still 25 which is 5 dollars more than in store menu just like other dishes. Either you forgot to change price on ubereats and let people pay less money than instore ONLY on that 2 particular dishes I happen to have ordered or you simply charged me more because you have more people than me. I guess I should have used ubereats and pay 5 extra dollars than menu and STILL cheaper than what I pay now. Is this how all african restaurant works? if so, better take a gun with you if you like to...

Fantastic food and experience! I placed an order online and when I arrived to the restaurant, I realized I had selected the wrong location. The staff member was very helpful and nice, and said no problem, he would give me what I ordered here and call the other location to let them know. Incredible customer service! I have made that mistake before at a national pizza chain and they would not help me out!

I ordered the combo 1 with jollof rice, plantains, and chicken. All delicious and great portion! Can't wait to return and try the rest...
