Finally, Super Peach is here!!! We have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Super Peach for months and months. Last night we got a reservation and it was great! Service is still working out the kinks of being a brand new restaurant, but if you can give them some grace you'll have a great experience here.
We started with drinks, worth trying whatever sounds interesting to you- the flavors are unique and worthwhile for a yummy beverage.
Food: Kimbap is incredible. We ordered the beef and tuna, only the beef showed up but it was good because I think we over-ordered anyway! Beef Kimbap is worth trying, and I am sure the tuna is great (we'll get it next time). Chicken wings are a must try- they made everyone happy at our table and I would 100% order them again. Sesame cucumbers were good but nothing to die for, and the beef skewers were yummy, I would like to try the others as well next time. Lobster pasta was full of lobster but really garlic-y so if you don't like vampires, order this one! The star of the dinner was the sweet potatoes. Oh my gosh! they were incredible, I don't think I have ever had anything this memorable ever. Salty & Sweet & Savory- ugh they were so good! I would come back just for those!
I am curious to make my way through the rest of the menu and try everything, but I would need to have a few more visits to get it all in!
The vibe is mid-century modern cafeteria, but it somehow works on helping to create a space that makes you feel like you are anywhere but in the mall.
Worth trying at least once to get the full experience of David Chang's skills. His fusion Korean/American menu totally works. I would say this place will be perfect in a few more weeks when they get into...
Read moreMy experience with David Chang goes all the way back to Momofuku, Saam Bar, Ma Peche and Milkbar. I realize it’s an empire now, but I I was super disappointed with Super Peach. The famous donut was over fried. The heirloom tomatoes were one heirloom topped with Sungolds. The $57 lobster noodles had minced lobster instead of medallions as shown in the pictures. The Seabass was dry and the ribs were missing the sticky sweet goodness that we were hoping for. There was such opportunity with the room, but the tables and chairs look like Ikea and the orange spray painted metal grating between the booths looked diy. Such a shame for a brand that I’ve always relied on for...
