On Saturday August the 24th I went to This Coffee Bean at 5:30 am after my car being Towed from a nearby parking spot a hour earlier. I was clearly lugging my equipment as I had did a film shoot prior to my automobile being towed. I came to this establishment to get coffee, becuase I was exhausted, A snack and to sit until my ride came, which I knew would be a while. I would of gladly sat outside but it was pretty cold at 5:30 AM. I was already being looked at by the staff awkwardly and since I was the first and only patron in the store at the time it was pretty obvious.
I nodded off a few times while waiting, but wasnt sleeping as if I intended too. I was just extremely tired and trying to stay awake to communicate with my ride since my car had been towed. I told the staff member Raul about what happened and he clearly sees me with expensive equipment on my person. That didnt stop him from harassing me about it.
I didnt like it at all especially when I'm a Paying Customer.
I've literally seen homeless people come to this establishment to wash themselves in the restroom for 30 to 45 minutes at a time and the staff would go and clean behind them. The most they might get is a knock on the restroom if he/she is taking very long.
I'm not homeless nor am I using this establishment as a camping ground. It is a Public coffee shop. I simply had a unforeseen automobile issue and chose to sit here because I have found myself studying here sporadically before.
The icing on the cake is when Raul came to me and said "You have been sitting here all day". You cant "SLEEP" here as if I'm a homeless and intended to be there. He said it loud enough that the other guest and patrons could hear while there is a lady nodding right beside me who didnt even purchase anything (not that a purchase is necessary to be in the establishment).
That was the last straw. He told me I could "sit outside", in which is still apart of the establishment. Whats the difference between the inside and the outside? That solidified that he didnt want me in there even after clearly seeing I'm a patron, waiting for my ride to come and loaded with over $12,000 worth of film equipment on my person.
Raul has successfully lost a customer becuase I will not buy from a company who's employee doesnt have empathy for their paying patrons. That makes me feel like my money is more important than me being respected as a customer.
Less than satisfactory service practices.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered on the mobile app and on the app, it tells you what time your order should be ready to pick up. I get there at the time it says and the worker tells me to wait outside because only 4 people are allowed inside at a time. Sure of course. Itās still the pandemic. But there are 2 people enjoying their drinks inside when there are plenty of outside seating. My order was not ready and when I went back in to ask about it, she (the worker) stated that itās coming up. Meanwhile, 5 people who ordered after the time I arrived in person received their drinks first. My order was finally ready and when I open up the bag, they got my order wrong and to top it off they didnāt include straws. Incredibly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEw. Iāve lived directly across from this shop for five years and until the last month Iāve never thrown anything from them away. I understand itās a coffee chain but when Starbucks starts to sound appealing after a decade of voiding them like the plague you should probably figure out your business. Whoever the barista was working today at 4:30pm 4/18/21 needs to be trained immediately. These drinks are so thick itās like drinking straight syrup, they arenāt mixed either which is the scary part- since thereās still another 1/4 inch of flavor powder sitting at the bottom of both the matcha and the dark chocolate latte. Definitely not chill...
