We have been loyal customers for years. Came in today and realized the menu has changed... bummer. As if the menu changes weren’t annoying enough, there were even more ‘surprises’ ahead. I ordered a salad and my husband ordered pizza. We waited for at least 20 mins before the food arrived. The salad didn’t seem fresh, I mean I removed some old and dark looking greens before I started eating. All of a sudden, I noticed something moving in my salad!!! EW, yes is was a bug. We called the waiter and asked to take it away, I was disgusted and didn’t want anything else to order. We saw how the waiter showed the salad to one of the managers before he took it to the kitchen. To our surprise, neither the manager nor the waiter came to our table to at least apologize...forget about offering anything. Yes, they took the salad ftom the bill, but really? Do you bring a $14 bill??? Was that thaaaat important??? In other more customer oriented restaurants , I’d say, the management cares about the prestige of their restaurant and happiness of their customers. We paid and stepped out . Saw the manager standing next to the entrance, and guess what when my husband got closer to him to share our frustration, his excuse was that he thought another manager talked to us, but the irony is that he was the one to see the plate with the bug. Finally, when we explained to him that this is not how you run a business, he apologized. Dear Nordstrom Bar Verde management, this is NOT how you treat your loyal customers. I don’t think we’re going to ever return to this place. I would not recommend this place to...
Read moreBar Verde at The Grove is truly a hidden gem tucked inside Nordstrom. Though we usually swing by for happy hour drinks, because it’s my Nephew’s favorite spot, we decided to try dinner this time—and I'm so glad we did. The vibe is relaxed yet stylish, the perfect spot to unwind. Our server, Jay (I think that was his name), was fantastic. He was attentive, and his timing was spot-on. He chatted just enough to keep the mood light, but never overdid it—just the right balance to complement the evening.
We kicked off with the artichoke spinach dip, which, frankly, blew us away. It’s so much better than Houston’s Chicago-style spinach dip, and it even comes with warm, fresh bread that elevates the dish. For the main course, I went with the chef's special ribeye, paired with a salad and potatoes. The steak was massive, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and absolutely delicious. The Caesar salad was fresh and made to order. Normally, I’m not big on Caesar salads, but this one was a pleasant surprise.
If you're looking for a low-key spot with fantastic food, Bar Verde is the place to be. Great service, delicious dishes, and a chill atmosphere make this restaurant...

I had wild shrimp tagliatelle. It had saffron butter and Spanish chorizo! Amazing! Fresh shrimp! Homemade fresh noodles. Great dish! Also had crème brûlée which was top notch!
The view is awesome and great for people watching.
Old review: You can get a great view of the main Grove courtyard if you’re lucky. It was holiday time so we could see the Xmas tree quite well.
Service is not very good.
I ordered the campanelle pasta. Pretty well served but it doesn’t have a creamy or marinara sauce so I regretted not paying attention to the menu. It has a good amount of chicken. The pasta was not al dente. Sigh. It was decent. We also had the artichoke dip which was tangy but not that good. It comes with bread wedges. Some of the dip was left over because you don’t get enough bread wedges.
Honestly I was not impressed by the menu options.
I’m had unsweetened ice tea which was good but the refills were ponderously slow.
