Yoshinoya Santa Monica & Western — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I usually enjoy Yoshinoya, even though I've gotten serious food poisoning (from another location) that landed me in the emergency room for the night. I live on the edge! I was impressed from some of the new selections available like the coleslaw, steak, shrimp, etc. (from yet a different location, not the food poisoning one). I stopped here because I was starving, and it was close to where I had just finished getting some errands done in the morning.

BACK TO THIS Yoshi shares a parking lot with a series of different business in the very busy corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Western Ave. If you get there when businesses are opening which is about 9:00am, you'll find plenty of regular and handicapped parking. I have not been there in the evenings but I can't imagine how full it must get.

Juan, the cashier was very friendly and professional.

The place was clean (again, it was about 10am and not that many people actually get in the mood for Yoshi so early in the morning)

The food was a nightmare, hence the low rating. I asked for a combo bowl with that Angus Steak meat that was so tough AND burnt! I didn't catch any of this because I took my meal to go. I asked for vegetables to be well cooked, it was as if I told them to just pour them into my plate without even running them through the steam! I had to toss the plate of food away because that was just not edible! So disappointing, especially since I was so hungry and that combo is not a cheap one.

I doubt I'll ever come back to THIS Yoshi again, not worth...
