If I could give 0 stars I would. My daughter and I went here on Sunday around 4pm. The wait was 15-20 minutes. (Even though there were about 30 empty tables in the restaurant, but being in the business myself before I figured it was due to short staffed) anyways, we sat at our table. We saw the waiter come up to the table behind us a couple of times to finish up with them, then he went to the table beside us to do something there. We sat for 8 minutes (yes I timed it due to seeing him pass by us over and over again). He finally came to us and got our drink order. It was a Dr Pepper and a kids fruit juice (this is relevant considering there was no necessary wait for simple drinks like there would be for alcohol). We then sat for another 15 minutes waiting! During this time I noticed the manager came speak to the people next to us, while she was speaking to them our waiter came to the table behind us to “clean up” when in actuality he was eaves dropping on the conversation between the manager and the customers because they too had complaints. Once the manager stepped away, I watched him run away from the table with nothing in his hands which proved again he wasn’t actually cleaning it. He went to the manager as they stood by the POS discussing this tables complaint. I stared at him for the longest, shrugged my shoulders, lifted my hands, and nothing. Then more workers started coming in and he started hugging them, Playing around with them and just completely ignoring the fact that we were still sitting there waiting. I looked at the table next to us and asked them how long they had been waiting. They said “honey we’ve been here all day just waiting, nothing is right, my moms food is wrong, it’s been one thing after another.” Another 5 minutes went by and still…nothing. No drinks, no bread, no waiter checking in on us. We were there a total of 40 minutes due to waiting the first 20 minutes for the table then waiting another 20 minutes for our waiter to come to us with our SIMPLE DRINK ORDERS. I finally told my daughter let’s go, we stood up and grabbed our stuff and that’s when the waiter stopped playing with his friends and started grabbing plates to come to us. I waved him off because I was not about to sit around all day long waiting on our food next. I could understand if it were busy, or if he simply was busy, but the fact that he came to the table behind us to be nosy, (j mean he could have brought us our drinks and that would have been excuse enough to be in hearing range of the conversation his manager was having with his table), had been playing around by the POS, playing with the rest of the staff, and just blatantly disregarding that he even had a table waiting on him to bring DRINKS is what completely infuriated me to the point of walking out of there. If you want good service or even service at all, I suggest going to outback in Slidell or even Texas Roadhouse would be...
Read moreVery disappointed.. my wife and I went here for a mother's day dinner. We expected the wait and really wasn't horrible however, we waited almost an hour and a half for our food to come out. We filled up on bread waiting so when our food came out we were no longer hungry. My steak was cooked well d9ne when I requested rare. My wife's steak tips were rare and my steak well. We swapped however it didn't even out to be the same amount. During this time the manager a man in suit and bow tie comes around and we absolutely wanted to talk to him but he never returned. We watched people come in, order food, eat and leave before ours EVER came out!! Then, the manager goes to the table next to us (whom came in WELL AFTER we did) and he Comps their meal!!! Like are you serious!!!! I paid $117 go zero money off my bill. The waitress was wonderful and was just as frustrated as we were so I still tipped her rightfully so. She told the manager to come back because we explained that he just comped the other people bull who came in after us and the manager never came! We waited for over 15 mins and just walked out. This was my first time to putback in Covington and was really excited to try our local one however, the manager sucks, the wait staff is mistreated because the kitchen staff took hours to get food out therefore the waitresses couldn't turn tables fast enough for them to even make money! I felt horrible for our waitress.. the manager should be fired for never showing up to a table that requested him whom had spent over 2 hours total at their table and 1.5 hours of that was waiting on food! That's unacceptable customer service. I can understand mothers day and being busy bit for you to not even acknowledge the customers sitting their for that long and other people coming in after us, getting food, and leaving before we ever get our food.. not okay! Do better Outback Covington! Not just for your customers but for your...
Read moreBy far the worst restaurant experience. As soon as we walked in it smelled like dirty mop water or mildewed towels. None of the employees smelled anything and had no explanation. We decided to stay hoping it was temporary, but it wasn't. The host didn't say 5 words to us and nodded his head for us to follow him to our table. The host and a few male servers looked like they had all been wrestling or something because their hair looked wet/sweaty and clothes were all disheveled. I ordered a draft beer and it came out not very cold and flat. I told the server that it tasted watered down and flat so she asked me if I'd like another one. Uh, how about you fix the problem! I got a bottled beer instead. My wife ordered the prime rib and it came out with no au jus and when we asked where it was she said oh they must have forgot it. Evidently so did she! On top of that it looked dried out and was over cooked. I added the lobster tail to my steak for $10. What the heck! I've had crawfish bigger than this dang thing. Seriously, 2 bites was all I got. Finally at the end of this disaster of a night, as we're leaving, the same host was leaning on the stand and so busy checking his facebook feed he didn't even notice we were walking out. Bloomin onion was good as well as the dessert. Now I know this place isn't fine dining by any stretch of the imagination but I expected a hell of a lot better than this. I'm pretty sure I've seen the inside of an Outback for the last time. Yeah I know I should have talked to the manager, I was in the restaurant business for a while, but I just...
