Barista Parlor 500W — Restaurant in Louisville

Really incredible coffee! I worked in specialty coffee for several years and Barista Parlor has some of the most high quality and unique coffee I've ever tried. Their cold brew is smooth, complex, and flavorful, full of bold fruit notes. I loved their 6oz espresso with milk drink too, their beans are a very unique flavor profile for espresso with a strong fruit flavor that would be great as a straight espresso shot while also being rich enough to work well with milk. It's definitely "coffee for coffee nerds" and might not appeal to people who prefer a traditional dark roast espresso, but I really enjoyed it. I also like that they categorize their espresso and milk drinks by 4oz, 6oz, 8oz, 12oz, or 16oz iced sizes. I usually order either an 8oz flat white or 4oz cortado at other cafes and the 6oz was the perfect balance for me. The cafe is area is nice and spacious, with comfortable chairs and a park outside. It's in the lobby of a large office building, which makes a great atmosphere for work with lots of natural light and plenty of room at the tables. Best whiskey caramel latte I’ve ever had and believe no other coffee roaster could duplicate this homemade thick caramel sauce that’s not too sweet. The perfect blend of whiskey and caramel is just perfection. In addition, the bourbon vanilla is great as well with the vanilla syrup homemade.

The aesthetics are nice with total open concept, but limited parking and location I think is the reason this place would not be packed with a wait—Just like it used to be at their Nashville locations particularly the original Barista Parlor at 610 Gallatin Pike :)

Regardless, I love that Louisville has a true unique coffee place that I hope will be profitable to open additional locations in St. Matt, Bardstown Rd, or Nulu, and East—Brownsboro Rd/Norton’s Hospital/Commons area for diversity.

This is the PERFECT place to have your coffee. After all, they specialize in coffee ☕ At the front, where I was standing to order today, there were two types of coffee to choose from. But there was more. A location for the fancier coffee was at my right. A location for the fanciest coffee was at my left. In other words, lots of types of coffee to choose from. Handmade chocolate made at the shop which you can purchase to enjoy along with your coffee. Different kinds of bagels to choose from. In my whole life, I have never seen a coffee shop with such ample seating. You can sit wherever you want. Clean restrooms. A vending machine is available....
