Usually this place is decent, although the last time I went here the experience left a lot to be desired. The waiter, while friendly, took a long time to get rid of our plates, although if that was my only complaint I wouldn't be leaving a 2 star review. I was looking forward to eating some meatloaf, I was about to get a piece of meatloaf but I thought it looked a little under cooked, I asked the lady about it, and she said it was just the red sauce, she was probably right however as she was talking I saw something fly out of her mouth and on to the meatloaf. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to embarrass the lady working there and I don't think she realized it happened, although looking back on it, I probably should have said something for the sake of who ever ended up eating that piece of meatloaf. This thew off my apatite for the rest of the night, to top it all off I heard a father say to his kid "cover your mouth when you cough", keep in mind they were at the buffet counter, this just made me more paranoid about the overall sanitation of buffets in general.
The sliders that they put out are normally delicious, however this time, the bread on the sliders was hard and the meat was dry, it wasn't very good and they seemed like they had been sitting out for a long time. My mother had also asked for a medium rare steak and she said that whoever served her the steak may not have spoken English very well because the steak he gave her was well done. The only really good experience was the desserts, the bread pudding and banana pudding was delicious, that's why I'm giving this a 2 star rating instead of a 1 star rating. I normally love this place, I hope it isn't starting to...
Read moreExtremely disappointed and I have to say it is do to my bad luck that the food I would normally find at other Golden Corral at 5 p.m. was not available at this one. I only stayed because I had paid for it and did not want to go through the trouble I'm getting a refund. I absolutely hate any restaurant that puts people on the front line to deal with customers that do not speak English. I'm not Prejudice, but if you have someone that is talking to people who would like to have the steak and that is a whole nother problem, you should have them at least speak the native language. Also you say medium well and they show you a piece of steak that is blood rare but since they Dole this take out as if we were living in the times of Tiny Tim and having to plead to someone sir may I have some more, it was pretty bad. The pizza which is not what I was looking to eat but I just felt like I had to get something for my $21 was pretty much raw and undercooked in this must be how the restaurant likes to do it because the bacon as well as the steak was raw and undercooked as well. Decided to go to the salad bar and the brown lettuce turned me off immediately. Did I speak to a manager no did I want to I did but they were too busy sitting together in the little closet type office that they have and by the time I decided to leave, the one manager was outside and he may have been taking a cigarette break or he just needed to take a moment because of him realizing how bad the situation was there. I have been to some good Golden Corrals and I have been to some bad ones but I was about as disappointed at this one is I have been in...
Read moreI've been coming to Goden Coral, this location since it originally opened and rereturned when it opened again after covid allowed it to. So glad it was able to reopen!! I've lost my husband during covid, from cancer. We started coming here when our now 24 year old daughter was 1 year old. We used to come every Sunday after church. We continued to come all these years. I've met some of the most wonderful staff members, who know my first name, remember my husband, ask about both of my daughters when they aren't here eating with me. Liz is no longer here; a waitress I got to know extremely well; I miss her. MAMADOO, A WONDERFUL MAN AND SERVER, is absolutely the best. He came back and is still who I primarily ask for when I come here to eat. The food has gotten so much better since reopening. It had gone downhill over tge years. I know new staff now, who take care of our needs. This place, restaurant has ans always will be a favorite place to ear, socialize briefly with tge staff, and have time with family and friends in a laid back atmosphere. If you leave here hungry that's your fault; there's so much food, a wonderful variety and it's always hot and plentiful! Sundays after church seem to be...
