Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Louisville

I love Schlotzky's! Sure, there are plenty of sandwich shops around, but only one that has Cinnabon! (It always smells SO good when you walk in there!)

Any time I've visited this location (sandwiched, so to speak, between a Taco Bell and a Jersey Mike's) it's been a good visit. We're always greeted as soon as we walk in the door, and the order taker has been able to answer questions we (actually, my wife) might have. I like, too, that they no only have their own branded chips, but also about a half dozen different varieties. They also offer salads, soups, and some VERY tasty personal-ish sized pizzas.

My personal favorite is the Albuquerque Turkey, which comes on this amazing jalapeño cheese bread that I just cannot get enough of. Seriously. This bread is A-STOUND-ING. I'm talking, life-changing astounding.

When you get a Pick 2 combo (I always get a sandwich and a salad), the salad isn't a handful of veggies and a little bit of dressing, either. In some places you get what amounts to a salad sample...not at Schlotzky's. It's almost large enough to be considered a full salad, so if you're "I'm hungry but not quite starving", consider this to be the perfect option.

The service at this location has always been spot on, with helpful employees and service times that are better-than-your-average-sandwich-shop.

I came for lunch during a relatively busy time and the staff was friendly and got the food out with urgency. Sandwich was okay, nothing special honestly. This was my first experience here and I guess I should come try something else, but for now I’ll give them 4 stars because nothing really draws me back. Chips were okay, lots of options. Mello Yello in the soda fountain, which was cool to have the option to drink. Didn’t feel worth how much money a medium sandwich plus chips and a drink costs because it didn’t really impress me in any way. I just ate it to get food for lunch at that point, but it wasn’t bad. I placed an order from Grubhub at 11 AM and two hours later the driver still had not delivered my food. I received a call from a Schlotzsky's employee named Emily. She informed me they had reached out to her to no avail but informed that whenever a driver would come to get my food, she would make sure it was remade so my order was fresh. I was astounded by the recognition of my situation and the initiative and care this emoyee took to reach out to me and inform me my order would be fresh.
