This is to follow up the review from Elijah Markworth because I was in the building when he was there.
From what I saw, Elijah had gotten a pizza that he didn’t like because there was no extra sausage or something. When the young lady at the counter explained to him how the topping system in their restaurant works, he wasn’t listening to her and insisted that he ordered extra sausage. When she pointed out to him that the ticket did not say extra sausage on it, he demanded that she get a manager or get a refund.
A young man(I assume the manager on duty) came out and assessed the situation same as she did, telling him that there is a limit to how much of a topping they can put on pizzas that had multiple toppings. When Elijah refused to listen, he demanded a refund for it. When the young man denied him a refund for something that wasn’t his fault, things escalated.
Elijah continued to raise his voice, had an aggressive tone, wouldn’t even let either of the employees make him another pizza when they offered it to him, just kept insisting for a refund. It even got to the point where he was screaming profanities at the young man.
It was around this time that the manager asked him to either calm down or leave. When Elijah kept shouting profanities and even threatened him by saying “Go ahead and call the cops because I’m either taking my aggression out on them or I’m taking it out on you”. The fact that he is pulling the race card in his review is totally unacceptable and pretty scummy as there was no hostilities towards him due to his race.
Afterwards, the manager proceeded to have the young lady call the cops and hand me my food, apologizing for the situation and wishing me a good night. The food was amazing and the way that both employees handled the stressful situation was professional and as friendly as they could be.
If people really want to, look at Elijah’s other reviews at restaurants and you’ll notice that almost every one that he’s gone to has a 1 star review. I don’t know if it’s genuinely because of the services or he’s trying to scam some free food out of them but I wouldn’t take this guy...
Read moreI can not believe what just happened, ordered , was charged 2 times, called, some punk could not have the skills to deal with my situation, he made it like a joke, said, he had no order, and it would be tomorrow that my money was returned, connect me to manager, on hold , hung up and called back, another person answered, and said he was manager, never had compassion and could hear I was clearly upset, 60.00 later, bills will bounce, I had to demand a delivery, Got it, okay call there 800 number and it was like, I told the story and she said, so tell me what happened. I hung up, I can not believe what just happened, telling me your name is Robert, but know robert works at this store. Telling me I would need to wait, for my returned money. Then after calling there headquarters , I can see how the down fall happens, it starts at the top, WOW, they say my pizza is coming, Can I trust it, and its Door dash delivering it, this is the other side of town, I would not have had a dd driver come at all, I am against those companies, because I ruined two trucks delivering, I gave a 3 dollar tip its more than 5 miles away , What a experience , never again, I am done, its windy and cold I was hungry and not feeling well This was a stressful situation, not because mistakes happen , but because the person handling it, was like a alien, had no skills, I even said this also feel s like a scam, well, we shall see. I did get my 60 bucks back, now will I get food. I never wanted it for free and I never wanted DD to deliver my food, I do not trust gig workers Period. Then she does deliver, with a friend in the truck and her kid, and that is okay too , however I did not want GIG driver, and the tip was not given to her, I tipped 3.00 because I was charged a delivery fee of 5 something, So who scammed who, charged twice, talked down to by some worker who thought this was funny, told me they would call corporate and well, my refund happened instantly after they hung up. Read moreWe ordered pizza for pickup and were told it would be a fifteen minute wait. When I arrived twenty minutes later, they didn't have my order in the system. Rather than apologize, the staff treated me as though I had made the error. The woman at the store, who I think was actually the manager, was very rude.
Since it would only be a fifteen minute wait, I put in another order. I waited for a while and then received a call from my wife at the house. She informed me that our pizza had just arrived at our house by delivery. I had her confirm that the driver was from the 29th st store and he was.
I explained to the woman at the counter what happened and asked for my money back, assuming that the driver would collect payment from my wife. The woman was again very flustered and said, "I'm not even sure how to refund your card. I've never had to do that before." She eventually figured it out and finally managed to get out a "Sorry about that," as I was headed out the door.
SO, I get home to my pizza, which is now lukewarm, and my wife tells me that the driver didn't collect from her. I said, "Well, this is their mess. If they have the audacity to come back here or call after all this, we'll pay them."
Yeah, they had that audacity. The driver didn't have the means to collect via credit card, and didn't have enough change to give me all of the remainder of the $50 bill I had (my only cash). Needless to say, we won't be ordering from this...
