Smoothie King — Restaurant in Lufkin

Indifferent. That’s the best way to explain the staff at this location. Today, I discussed with the 2 girls working there that I love the pineapple matcha at Starbux and would like to find a similar option at Smoothie King of Lufkin. It was decided they would make me a matcha green tea and put pineapple in it. When the drink was ready, an employee indifferently calls out my name... no eye contact, no smile, no concern for my opinion of the “new” drink. Just simply “doing her job.” For years, this has been the consistent way of Smoothie King in Lufkin. Absolutely ZERO customer service. Every time I (hardly ever) go there for a drink, I vow I will never go back. Today reminded me of my vow. The drink was horrible, but that isn’t the point. The point is the staff is old enough to know how to treat customers with a smile, engage in even brief eye contact, show some sort of interest, and exude at least minimal kindness (Go over to Chick Fil A for a great example), yet as time goes on, the employees at Smoothie King of Lufkin seem to share the motto: “This is just a job. Do as little as you can to get by and go home.” I can’t help but be convinced that this attitude must be from the persons above them; I’d rather support another local business who at least acts like they are...

Staff was extremely rude when we went in after 8:00pm. All I wanted was a Smoothie and the woman working chastised me for coming in so late even though they were not closed and did not close until 9:00pm. If they do not want customers after 8:00pm or what ever time they should adjust the hours. I already am paying a premium for a smoothie the rudeness is unacceptable.

I ordered 2 smoothies for curbside pickup. Reason being I have a 4 month old that I didn’t want to get out of the car. I called twice until the phone finally stopped ringing.
