The staff was very quiet. I had to lean in on the girl taking my order at the register. I believe she was new and untrained. She couldn't explain the differences between a regular pastrami and a Reuben pastrami sandwich. I just said no problem and followed through with our orders. Unfortunately I had to return the 6 pack of cinnabon rolls we had just ordered and started to eat while waiting for our food. They were stale and horrible. We literally spit them out and threw them away and returned the uneaten ones. The salads were nothing special. Garden and avocado turkey cobb. The blue cheese dressing was just mayo with vinegar. Avocado was fresh. The turkey on it was less than desired.Our sandwiches were cold and lacked taste we had the Reuben pastrami and the cheese smokey roast beef. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. The pizza was fine but over cooked. Everything was expensive but I'm okay with price if the food is worth it. In this case it's not. This store will probably continue to struggle until it is closed down. The assistant manager was very nice and apologized and said they were under staffed. The place is very clean and well decorated. Plenty of parking in the lot and clean outside as well. Uniforms look good. Dinning area is good too. It smells delicious when you walk in. Drinking fountain area looked great and very appealing. Read moreThe food is really good when it’s made right but that’s not usually the case. I’d like to use the app but the 3 times I’ve tried since I’ve downloaded it there’s been issues that no one at the restaurant can explain that prevent me from placing an order. So we go through the drive through but more often than not you have to pull up to the window because no one will answer you on the intercom. Today I tried to place an order on the app using one of my rewards but it says it’s unable to process the request. So I try to call to figure out why but no one will answer. I called 4 times. Then when I ask someone to go up there for me and just go through the drive through, they can’t get any service. After waiting at the speaker for several minutes, they pulled up to the window and waited there also. Then they texted me to tell me that they could see people inside but no one would help them. Even the person picking up the food said “they do this a lot.” I called again and got an answer. I explained the past issues and the one today. When I asked Cassandra about it she blamed the entirety of it on having one persons headset go down even though other employees were looking at them through the window and not helping them. I asked about not answering the phone and why they were just watching them through the window and she replied, angrily, “well someones over there talking to them now so can I help you?” The food is good but it isn’t worth the fight it takes to get it. Read moreI was traveling on a road trip, and I hadn’t been in a Schlotzsky’s in years. I always had wonderful experiences in Texarkana when I lived there. I stopped in at the Lufkin location. When I walked in, it felt super hot/humid inside. The bathroom smelled like a dog kennel & it was so unkept. The soap dispenser was empty and instead of installing the paper towels in the dispenser, they tossed a paper towel roll on the wet counter. I had to pick up a soggy roll of paper towels to dry my hands. I then waited to be greeted by a cashier for a while. When she finally acknowledged me, she nonchalantly took my order. I couldn’t wait to have the Fuze Raspberry Tea (it was a staple at one point), but they didn’t have any. I decided to just get regular tea instead, but there was no tea at the drink display. I asked the cashier if they had any tea and she responded, “we are almost out.” It was super frustrating because I was looking forward to the whole experience. The staff were LESS than helpful.
