My experience today at qdoba was HORRIBLE!! First of all, I love the food. It's always fresh and delicious. Although the staff at the lynchburg location are rude, they are very unwelcoming, everyone that works there looks like they hate their job & and have bad attitude problems. EVERY TIME I go there!! So I go in there today, July 8th, 2025. The girl asks if I want a bowl or burrito (with attitude).. I told her I wanted a bowl. I proceeded to ask about the sizes of the bowls. She lied and told me the large size bowl was small and that the small size was considered a mini bowl. As she is preparing my bowl, she is giving me very small portions( lesser than usual) Of food and I have to keep asking her if she could put a little bit more (of everything)She's rolling her eyes the whole time. So I got two bowls, a small and a mini, at least that's what I thought I was getting. When I got to the register, I told her. I wanted a drink and chips instead of her making it a meal for the lesser price. She makes it separate and charged me $2.95 for a drink & $6.95 for the LARGE chips and queso that I DID NOT ask for. I thought it would have automatically been a regular size, or she would have least asked if I wanted regular or large. The small bowl was $11.40!! I look up at the menu at the sizes & prices after she proceeds to tell me my total is $31.02. I asked her about the chips & queso, being so much and that I did not ask for a large...she says, we're out of regular queso cups . I get the same thing every time when I go there. It is never $31.02!! even if they were out of the regular queso cups. She could have put a smaller amount of cheese in it and charged for a regular instead of a large, it's not my problem there out of the regular cups! I wasn't going to eat that much anyway! So she gets her manager on duty. I explained the issue that I was overcharged. The girl that rang me up and prepared my food with the horrible attitude was standing beside her the whole time, saying, "I don't think we can do anything about it. ".. The manager on duty is looking at my receipt. She pulls her phone out on the using calculator and tells me I actually was saving money!! And says they usually don't do refunds. I knew something wasn't right!? So I i told her again, I get the same thing every time it is never this much. She says, "Let me call my manager" (on the phone).. After the phone call with the manager, she opens the drawer and gives me $8 and some change. Meanwhile, my food is just sitting there.. Total waste of my time, her having to call the manager. I think they need to do a better job at training everyone there on friendliness and managers on how to handle situations like that. I know i'm not the only one who has been overcharged for something. They did not want to do anything about it. It really pissed me off. I kept my cool.I was patient, and I said, "Thank you multiple times." I will not be going there anytime soon.
I want to add that my child and I ate inside. The whole time we were eating, ALL of staff (about 6 employees ) were staring us down with mean looks the whole time. No one wants to be stared down while eating. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI LOVE the food here, but my most recent experience with the customer service was the absolute WORST Iād ever received in food service. The young girl working had the nastiest attitude and made me so uncomfortable I almost left as soon as I got there. She āgreetedā me with āwhat do you want?ā And a glare. I said I would like a bowl and a burrito please and she took one of the bowls and threw it onto the counter and then tossed the tortilla onto the foil. I was actually shocked by her behavior and the way she was treating customers. When she put the steak into my bowl I noticed a few pieces of onion getting into the bowl from the veggies that were displayed next to it and asked if she could please remove them. She gave me a mean glare and actually had another employee come over to do it bc apparently she couldnāt be bothered to provide any kind of customer service. Asking her for anything was clearly a huge inconvenience. I asked for my hot salsa on the side and the young man working poured it all in my bowl anyways and i just wanted to get out of there so I said whatever thatās fine. The only nice person I interacted with was the young man working the register. Makes me not want to go there if I ever saw her working...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time at Qdoba and it will definitely be my last. The young man at the counter greeted me with āwhat do you want?ā and then didnāt say another word while I tried to tell him what I wanted in my bowl. Not exactly the kind of customer service that makes you want to come back.
The rest of the staff couldnāt be bothered either. They were standing around gossiping behind the counter. The only person who seemed to be doing anything was hanging around by the drink machine, but they clearly had no idea how to actually help.
Speaking of the drink machine, every single option was out of flavor. No one bothered to mention this before I bought a fountain drink, so I basically paid for a cup of carbonated water. Thatās just lazy and dishonest.
Overall, the whole experience made me feel unwelcome and like I wasnāt taken seriously as a customer. Between the rude greeting, the unprofessional staff, and the complete lack of effort, this was hands down one of the worst experiences Iāve had. Iāll stick to places that make better food in the same style, like the chipotle less than a mile...
