Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Lynnwood

We ordered an ice cream cake for a birthday celebration last week. I called the store a couple of hours in advance to confirm that my cake would be ready and informed them of my pick-up time at 4 PM. When I arrived to pick up the cake, I was in a rush and only managed a quick glance at it. Since it matched the design my husband had ordered, I assumed it was the correct cake. I did notice immediately that it didn't look as neat and beautiful as the stock image had shown, and some parts were already melting when they placed it in the case. When I got home and unboxed the cake, I realized it wasn't mine; the birthday message was addressed to someone else. I contacted the store, and they confirmed they had my cake. They said that if I had not eaten the cake, I should bring it back, and they would give me the correct one. I took the first cake back and exchanged it for mine. I was in disbelief that they would take a cake back that had been to someone's home and provide it to another customer. I don't write reviews and I am sad to write this one. But, I do have to say there were two workers, one male and one female both in their late teens/early twenties(?). The first thing we saw when we walked in was the gal looked at us, whispered something to the guy and laughed. The rest of the time she ignored us or sneered at us. But the male worker was very professional and did a great job answering our questions, taking our order, and making my drink in a timely manner. The ice cream is really nostalgic for me, especially the cookie dough flavor. It wasn’t in the main tubs but they were selling quarts of it so I purchased one and asked the employee, Sara(h), if I could have a cone of it. She was super happy to get me all set up and honestly had a really great attitude about it. She had me grinning the whole time.
