I initially went in there with an amazing attitude. I'm ready to restock my toys, i was greeted by max, who was absolutely amazing. I happened to see 2 specific toys online that were on sale. I found those toys in store and when I got to the checkout, I let them know about the online price. They told me that they do not do price matching online... that was very upsetting to hear. However, they still tried to scan each item to see if they did show up at a discounted price.They did not.
They proceed to scan the rest of my product. And my total came out a lot higher, then what was anticipated. I had made it clear out loud that that is a lot higher due to the products only equaling about a hundred dollars.When my total came out to a hundred and sixty seven after tax. They didn't acknowledge me.
I end up paying the one sixty seven just so I can get out of there because neither of them are acknowledging any part of my frustration.
Once I get to my car, I realized that they did not take one of the toys that was not at a discount off that I no longer wanted. And told them I didn't want them. I go back in to let them know that they you charged me for a toy that I did not purchase.That was fifty dollars. The gentleman proceeded to tell me max was new. Completely understandable. However, they did not acknowledge while I was initially in there that the price was in fact higher than what it should be. I was refunded my 50$

I know the sales model at Lovers is to engage educate and sell 3+ products every transaction, but sometimes this leads to assumptions. I was looking to add a toy larger in circumference to my current collection. When I asked the associate, he just directed me toward the “expensive” and “cheap” products, all the while “educating” me about toys, without asking really anything about what my knowledge and experience level is or what I was looking for. When it came time to purchase, again the sales person comes off as almost condescending (most likely unintentionally) insisting I need a water base lubricant, when I explain I have my own at home it’s clear that he is doubtful and confused, asking “are you sure because silicone needs water base lube” which isn’t untrue, it’s just I’d appreciate the associates to have more faith in their patrons, and be less pushy especially in that...

I wish I could remember their name, but when they checked me out for a cage and small vibrator, she offered to show me a new, similar vibrator that was a couple of dollars more expensive but stronger/better that they had but just had not put on the shelves yet.
