I moved down from Alaska and fell in love with Fred Meyer Jeweler and our sales rep, David. We moved down to Seattle and it took us three trips to the store to finally get an answer to our question and it turned out they couldn't help me. I had lost one of my diamond earrings on a trip. When I spoke to my Anchorage sales rep, he told me I could exchange the one eating and receive half the cost of the pair towards a new pair. Totally fair. A couple of years later, I found the other earing in the bottom of my carry on. Yes! I didn't loose it!!! I go to Fred Meyer and am told I can't upgrade my earrings, I'd have to buy a new pair of diamond stud earrings or a diamond pendent. Well, I don't need two pairs of diamond earrings and I don't want a diamond pendent necklace. Fred Meyer Jeweler, you just lost a customer over $160 upgrade that we would have brought money to the table for and made an additional purchase. Anyone know a good and HONEST jeweler? The sales person was nice. They showed us many options and was not in a rush. When we chose an engagement ring they told us it would take a week to get it sized. They also mentioned the diamond warranty is only valid if it's cleaned every 6 months, if you miss a cleaning the warranty is void. A week later we picked up the ring. I thought it was strange how the box and packaging intrusively plastered "Fred Meyer Jeweler" inside the box, outside the box, and on every bit of packaging; their advertising strongly detracted from the engagement ring. Sadly the same day I proposed, we noticed the diamond looked noticeably different, with what looked like a large crack down the center. The return and refund process was simple. We promptly visited a competitor who showed us a ring in the same price range of noticeably higher quality and they sized the ring while we waited, we walked away same day with beautiful...

Had a pleasant experience when i bought my girl friends ring months ago but recently on June 22 my gf got me a mens rings that is really nice. unfortunately i am sitting here today a month later with nothing on my finger and a horrible, unprofessional experience and they could probably care less. My gf was told by this store and the one on bothell Everett highway that it would be 10 days when returned the one she got because was too big. been a month because the lady here didn't do her job right. instead of returning it and ordering a new one in my size online which would have taken a week. she sent back to manufacture and they dont care so been a month. My Birthday gift i gotta wait day after day hoping for a call to go pick it up. We and especially myself are beyond frustrated with this handling. Planned on buying my girls engagement ring later this year there but for sure will not be now....
