Simply a horribly ran establishment on both occasions Ive been there. Yesterday my family attempted to eat there and we required a table with 5 seats plus a high chair. We were told it would be roughly a 35 minute wait for a table to which we agreed and were given access to track our place in queue. After the app told us we were 1st in line we went in to wait to be called. I hear new customers coming in to sign up for waiting and every single party was continuously told 30-35 minutes. So after waiting for 30 minutes to be first in line according to the app we continue to wait another 45 minutes to be sat which I understand a longer wait due party size however I did notice a table who was sat with a 9-10 person party prior to us despite us being listed as next in line. We were sat 15 minutes after them and they also messed up their table as well because they split the party into two separate tables. I watched as they got up and had to move where they were sitting due to the restaurants error.
Upon getting our table we were seated at a high top… the high chair doesnt reach a high top so that wouldn’t work. They then encouraged us to use a booster sit for the 1 year old child in a high top chair… they truly must have stellar insurance for the blatant disregard for the safety of a child. Very obviously we declined. They told us we would have to wait for another table which would likely be another half an hour. We left but my parents stayed as it was already getting late and they needed to eat. My stepfather apparently spoke to someone at the front and they blamed us for not mentioning the high chair. When we signed in the size was given as 5 plus a high chair and as I checked the app it gave a party size of 6. Not sure anyone in their right mind who would turn and blame the customer whether the customer was incorrect or not, which in this case the customer was not and it was a restaurant error throughout the entire process. I certainly wouldnt trust that person operating my business in my absence, a job not dealing with the public and doesnt require training would be better fit for this persons skillset. But maybe they just carry the mindset “its...
Read moreThis location is one of the dumpier Chili's I've been to. The food isn't inherently bad, but I cannot stand the smell. It's the smell of old sticky soda that hasn't been wiped up and the sugar is starting to decay. I've been to this place twice now in the event the first time was a fluke. It's also that gross smell of fry oil that's been used too much. If you've ever worked in a fast food place you'll know what I'm talking about. This smell just sits with you the entire time. Additionally the tables are always sticky when you sit down, like the help couldn't be bothered to run a hot rag over the table before shuffling in their next victims.
The food isn't bad, but it isn't anything to write home about either, It's just kinda meh and you're left wondering why you just didn't make the meal at home. The staff has always been cheery and friendly, but almost a little too much...trust me I don't want you to come by every 1 1/2 mins to insure my burger is tasty. It's not just your waitress, but the manager or some unidentified persons also come by make sure your needs are met. I know they're just doing their jobs but I'm not sure if I get two bites and a little conversation before I'm checked on again.
All in all you're probably not going to get food poisoning here, but I felt dirty the entire time. I'd just as well go across the street to Applebee's which is just the same franchise in another skin, but at least the...
Read moreThis Chili's really needs to work on service standards. I know how hard the restaurant and service industry is, but you could see how clearly evident it was that they do not value service at this location. The only thing quick here was being seated due to the lack of anyone in this restaurant. Now I know why. We visited on a Tuesday evening around 5pm and the place was basically a ghost town. After being seated no server even came over to greet us or take our drink orders for 10 minutes. In this time we saw a few servers milling about casually, leaning on the end of the bar drinking(not alcohol, just sipping out of whatever they had), and all looking very uninterested in working. Once we finally got our drink orders taken, we waited another 10 minutes for those, but at least the server did bring water while we waited. So 20 minutes before we were even asked to place any kind of food order. Then the food just wasn't very good either. It came out luke warm. The Cajun chicken pasta tasted like something out of a boil in the bag. Pretty bland, and the chicken did not seem like a fresh chicken breast. It reminded me of Taco Bell chicken pieces. The chicken quesadilla my boyfriend got was only slightly better. We were here for about an hour and half for a simple meal on a slow Tuesday evening. One drink and one entree. No appetizers, no desserts... There's really just no...
