I have been here maybe 3 or so times usually after catching the latest Marvel flick on a Thursday. Movie usually ends around 9 pm and by the time we get there they have +/- 1 hour before closing time. Each time I would ask if it was too late for a meal and was never turned down. By the end of the night we were definitely not the last people to leave after they close. So far the wait staff has been pleasant and we have always had a good time. The food usually takes a bit longer than normal to prepare but I attribute that to going in late with maybe one cook working (speculating). To solve that problem we usually get an appetizer in which all that we tried so far have been quite delicious. What ever cheese they use on their loaded fries (you can get as an app or with your burger) is to die for. You get an adequate amount of fries with your burger; I recommend either the loaded or Cajun. If I remember correctly the waitress said that all of the burgers are cooked the same as medium well. I like my burgers a medium to med well so that was fine so I am not sure if they will cook it as a well since I do not like it like that and I do not suggest anyone ordering it like that from anywhere. When I received my burger it was more medium so it was perfect for me. The flavor of the beef was really good and it was very juicy. I always customize my toppings which they let me do. So far; this has went to the top of my burger list. I used to really like Vinsetta garage as my #1 but the last time I went there my order was messed up and it was way to expensive to have an order ruined. Bubba's 33 takes my #1 burger spot and it is a good relative price. Definitely plan to go there again and maybe try their carry...
Read moreVery disappointed by our service, poor attitude from waitress and how she served us, I won’t comment her name but she was off putting the moment we sat down. I’d go into detail, yet it’d make the review very lengthy. The food and drinks were also a disappointment. Appetizers better then entrees, alcoholic drinks also a thumbs down. The chicken in the chicken avocado sandwich seemed rubbery, only had a couple bites and I couldn’t finish it. My husband couldn’t even eat the fish and chips because the fish tasted odd. I’m almost positive he got food poisoning from this place because he’s never sick and he was very sick throwing up last night. Plus the waitress seemed very odd towards us and set the wrong tone. Thought this place would be better. Normally have no complaints when go out to eat but we won’t be coming back here.
It was also very odd how the waiter who was making faces at our waitress stared my husband down as we walked out and walked along with us on other side of restaurant giving him a nasty look the entire time, he noticed me looking at him and stopped. As if they didn’t like him when he did nothing to them. My husband decided to go in and tell manager how poor the service was and she gave us $25 compliments for next meal. I’d prefer to get money back on our meals, we also had two young children with us who seem well and she failed to even ask if they wanted anything to drink the two times she initially came to our table. Once we responded, she would bolt away without giving us a chance to ask for anything else. I had to stop and ask her if they had apple juice or any kids drinks. She seemed very annoyed by this. Read moreI’m not one to write reviews, but my experience at Bubba’s 33 last night left me with no choice. I walked in at 5 PM after work and asked for a booth. The heavier-set hostess pointed me to one of the many (about 30) open booths, but then stood there as if there was some sort of issue. After waiting awkwardly, we finally got seated.
It took 15 minutes just to get waters, and only after I flagged down the same hostess who had been ignoring us. She didn’t seem to know if there was even a server working in that area. Eventually, Seth came over. Nice kid, but it was obvious he’d been on the job for less than a month.
We ordered garlic knots and a Jim Beam cola special, yet still had no waters. Meanwhile, a couple who sat down across from us—10 minutes after we arrived—were greeted by another server, had their waters right away, and even had their entrées ordered before we saw a single appetizer.
To top it off, the manager walked by multiple times and didn’t so much as glance in our direction. No apology, no acknowledgment of the subpar service. I own three businesses built on sales and customer service, and I would NEVER treat a paying customer this way—especially one who regularly tips 40%.
After waiting far too long for our appetizer and experiencing the complete lack of care from the staff, I walked out. I made sure to let the hostesses know how horrible the service was before leaving.
If you’re thinking of dining here, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that actually values their customers. Bubba’s 33 clearly does not.
