Edited: Today was our second trip. The beer wasn’t as good as the last trip, and one of my pours had a significant amount of head when it was served to me. The food was still excellent though! I did have an odd moment which is prompting my edited review. They have a sign up that says “write a review and get a free beer”. I had written a very positive review from my previous trip just cause it was a good experience. Didn’t do it for a free beer. Mostly joking I asked the beer-tender if you actually got a beer for writing a review. She said yes at which point I mentioned I had written a rather positive review on my last trip at Fall Line. I was then informed they have to see the review before posting it then I could get a free beer. I declined to write a new one, but will gladly change this one. Next time I’m coming through Macon I won’t being going to Fall Line. There’s another spot down the road that we found back in February when we stopped and Fall Line was closed. It was really good will now be my Macon lunch stop when traveling through the area. Next time I’m there I’ll write a review on that experience. Going to leave my previous review posted.
Just made our first trip to this brewery. First thing right off the bat we were greeted with a very friendly guy behind the bar. He started by welcoming us, and asking what kind of beer we like. He gave us a few tasters, and he was very pleasant. I ended up going with an Oktoberfest, and it was fantastic. We ordered food as we stopped for dinner also and the same guy at the bar recommended the brisket sandwich to me, so I went with his recommendation. It was excellent, and halfway through dinner I had the Hazy which was also very good. The thing I kept noticing was how nice the staff was when I interacted with them. Even the kitchen staff when I went to get our food was very friendly (you pick your food up from the kitchen window towards the back when your pager goes off). Really liked the atmosphere of the place too, and the building itself was pretty cool. Great experience at this brewery, and will happily stop again next time I’m traveling...
Read moreFallline Brewery in Macon really knows how to throw down for Georgia Beer Day, and this year was no exception. It's like the whole place buzzes with a love for all things beer, making it the perfect spot to celebrate a day that's all about Georgia's craft brews. From the moment you step in, you're hit with this vibe that's part local hangout, part beer lover's paradise.
The folks at Fallline went all out for the occasion, rolling out a lineup of beers that was nothing short of a love letter to brewing. They've got everything from punchy IPAs that wake up your taste buds to stouts so rich and smooth, they're like dessert in a glass. It's clear the team behind these brews is passionate about what they do; each beer feels like a carefully crafted masterpiece, balancing flavors and aromas that just make you want to savor every drop.
But what makes Fallline Brewery stand out isn't just the killer beer; it's the whole atmosphere. The place is decked out with nods to Macon's history and arts scene, making it feel like a celebration of the community as much as it is a brewery. It's the kind of spot where everyone ends up chatting, laughing, and sharing stories over a pint. On Georgia Beer Day, it felt like the whole town showed up to support, taste some amazing beer, and just have a great time.
The highlight? Seeing everyone from beer aficionados to curious newbies come together, united by their love for craft beer and local vibes. Fallline Brewery nailed it, offering a taste of what makes Georgia's beer scene so special, and making everyone feel like part of the family. If you missed out this year, make sure to mark your calendar for the next Georgia Beer Day. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on the fun (or the beer) at...
Read moreThere are not too many breweries I visit where I like all the beers tried. My wife and I have been working our way around breweries in the State of Georgia. When we go on any outing, we always look to see what breweries are in the area to stop by. Our recent trip to Macon to tour the Allman Brothers Band museum at "The Big House" was a perfect opportunity to stop in a couple of breweries in Macon as part of the trip. Our first stop after the museum was Fall Line Brewing Co. Beautifully restored building in the downtown area, this place also serves up wonderful beer. We had two flights of their beers, eight different beers total. Not a bad beer in the bunch, though ones my wife and I liked better than others (and better than one another as she leans to lagers, blonde ales, and wheats and I to IPAs and stouts). The food was also good, though all we did was split a sandwich. Honestly, I don't go to breweries to eat their food, though it's a plus when they have food. You can get the picture about their food from other reviews. But if you're looking for good local craft beer in Macon, this...
