Emerson at Plum — Attraction in Macon

Shot a wedding across the street at Fall Line (highly recommend) on 10/7/23. We stepped into the alley for a few photos and used a door that apparently was part of Emerson at plum. I will say the door was open and I closed it for a few photos. However, early on in the photos I was approached by a man and handed a business card, cool. We shot at said door maybe 10 mins tops. About an hour later I had someone in the wedding party show me a Facebook post from the venue owner blasting me and the videographer for using said door, threatening to use red food color for ‘future trespassers’. Not only that he posted a video of us shooting our clients, I could care less about me being in the video, but my clients being out there for the public bashing is childish and unprofessional. I was approached early on during photos and would have respectfully left, no questions asked. But no one asked me to. Instead the owner felt the need to take to social media? However, we took our photos down the street at Petals (a florist shop, yep we stepped in to get the okay!) and the location was sooo dreamy!! Was randomly out taking photos with my friend and we came across this beautiful green door. We had no clue what it was, but wanted a shot by the doors. One of the managers of the business came out and was nice enough to give us a tour. This place is beautiful and has everything you'd need to host a wedding. There's also a really nice bar. Outside caterers are welcomed as long as they are licensed. Food can't be cooked there, but there are warming stations in the back. The courtyard area is naturally beautiful. I would highly recommend Emerson at Plum as the venue for your next event, it’s an absolute must! I had my wedding here at Emerson and it was the most amazing night! If it’s not the picture perfect courtyard that gets you to say yes then it will definitely be the reception hall, which is so much fun and the perfect space to make unique for yourself and the vision you want to execute!
