My husband and I actually came to try Frabotta's pizza by a happy accident. We were actually heading to Slyce to get a much needed hangover pizza. When we pulled up we saw that they weren't open for another 30 mins. I mentioned we could swing by the Saltwater Hippie bar (which we had heard about but never been) and grab a bloody mary before heading back over to Slyce. While there we were handed a food menu which had is served through Frabotta's. The staff told us the pizza was amazing so we decided to stay and give it a try. So glad we did! After that day we were craving this pizza so decided to go to the actual Frabotta's restaurant for dinner one night. The pizza is considered "Detroit" style. It personally reminded us of a true NY style Sicilian pizza. Good quality mozzarella is used and is perfectly "stretchy". The sauce is very fresh and flavorful. All the ingredients are top quality and very fresh. But the star of the show is the crust! Crispy, savory edges and a thick yet airy crust throughout. Don't put a ton of toppings on this pizza, you'll spoil the texture and miss out on the flavors. While waiting for our pizza we saw some amazing Italian dishes being served as well and will have to make another trip to try out some other entrees. Staff was pleasant and the place was very clean and quaint. Enjoy!

Here on vacation and thought we would try this place for some Detroit style pizza. What a great place! We sat outside and had a great view of the evening sky just after sunset, great breeze coming of the beach and such cool colors in the sky. Our server was great, very attentive and helpful helping us make some decisions on how much food we needed for two and our options on their Detroit style pizza. We had garlic knots for an appetizer and they came right out to us in just a few minutes after ordering. They were fantastic, great garlic flavor but not overpowering. They were also very crisp on the outside so the garlic did not soak through the bread. The pizza sauce it came with was robust as opposed to sweet and we really liked it. We ordered a Detroit style 8 piece chicken and mushroom. OMG, it was so good! Crisp bottom and crisp edges but not overcooked our burnt, just the right amount of cheese and sauce with plenty of toppings. We ordered too much food for 2, but I was ore than happy to take some home for a late night snack, breakfast for tomorrow or lunch. Can’t say enough about our experience here…from the view outside, to the great customer experience to the fantastic food…this place has it all. We have been in town for four nights and this was by far our favorite place and best experience!

We came in with two families for a late lunch/early dinner. While walking in, the waitress immediately rolled her eyes upon seeing us. Not a great first impression. We asked to sit outside. She said that’s not an option. We asked why? There were 3 tables occupied and 5 open tables. She said she could not accommodate a party of 10 outside. We again asked why, simply because it did not make any sense. She rolled her eyes and behind her back yells fine sit outside there and stormed inside the restaurant. By this point, my husband and my friends husband where walking in and catching up with the situation at hand. They walked in to the restaurant to try and figure out what was happening. We had hungry kids and adults. My husband said let’s just go, this is not going to be a good experience. I ended up going back inside to see what was happening and heard the end of the conversation with the waitress, manager, and friends husband. They made it very clear that we were not wanted or welcome there. The whole experience was unpleasant and made no sense. It was as if they did not want the business. How does a restaurant survive treating guests in such a way? Terrible experience and we didn’t even sit down. Would not recommend stepping foot in this establishment.

I want the owners of this restaurant to know that my visit last week was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in years due to the absolutely horrible service. For context, my kids and I were staying in Clearwater for spring break and we decided to take a drive down to Madeira Beach based on recommendations from locals. I was looking for a less touristy, more laid-back beach atmosphere. We arrived right after opening so it was pretty slow. I think there might have been two other tables when we got there. Things started off good — we ordered our drinks and then just two entrées: a kids pizza and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. That is it. We proceeded to watch at least six tables come in order their food, get their food, cash out and leave. I could not even get our server to come to our table to even ask if we wanted more water or to say I’m going to go check on your food. She would literally walk by us, glance at us and then walk away. I should have just got up and left, but we were absolutely starving at this point and there was no other restaurant around to grab lunch. After going to the register and asking for drink refills and about our order twice, we finally got our food after waiting for over an hour. You would think that after having to go to the register multiple times they would then be more attentive, but once we got our food our server never came to even give us our check or speak to us once. Once again, we watched other people get their check and pay and leave. It was almost a joke at this point. Even the people around us commented to us about how long we have been waiting there and how bad we were being treated. I wondered if it was because I was a single mom with kids? At one point I had to fight back tears because it was such a frustrating experience. I was going to get up and leave and not pay the check, but I wanted to be a good example to my kids, so once again for the third or fourth time, I went back to the kitchen and said “I’m trying to leave and no one is bringing my check. I could just walk away and not pay, but I’m trying to be a good example to my children.” She offered to take 20% off and I told her that was not nearly enough. She ended up taking off more and I left zero tip. This is the first time I have ever written a bad restaurant review and this the first time I’ve left zero tip. I am a small business owner and I know that negative reviews can be detrimental, but I want the owners of this business to know that treating people with decency matters. I can’t even remember what the food tasted like because we were so upset by the time we finally got it. I understand that this community has been affected by the hurricanes and I want small businesses to thrive, but you can’t just ignore your customers and deprive them of basic human kindness if you are in the business of serving people. Please do...

I do not recommend this place. On two separate occasions I received poor service from the manager! It wasn’t until my second experience the lady said she was the manager. First experience, we put in our order and asked the server to put in a lasagna order to go. She said she will wait to put the to go order in until we receive our food. One hour later, we get our food. We over hear another staff say the last lasagna was just sold. We were worried but thought maybe that was our order. We asked our server about the to go order (who is also the manager) she checks the back and comes back and sure enough they are out of lasagna. But rather than tell us what we already knew what happened she comes up with a lie! She doesn’t even own up to her mistake! We are all people who make mistakes, why lie about it. Own up to your mistake especially a manager! So it wasn’t this trip that brought me here to leave a one star. It’s my second trip! This time I put the order in over the phone. I asked for pizza. The gentleman over the phone says, “do you want 16” or 12”? I said, “no I want the small one, it’s a personal size one”. Does it sound like I know what I am talking about? He said, “ok”. I thought he knew what I was talking about. I also ordered lasagna and that alone is another story. I pay for my order and I look in the pizza box. I said, “this isn’t the one I wanted, the one I wanted is thicker and squared (wish I would have gave them that description when I called but I didn’t know). He said, talk to her about it ( the manager). I already had the experience with her prior and was not looking forward to this. She said what happened?. Long story short, she would not replace the pizza and was rude about it. All she heard was personal pizza and shut me down. I still can’t believe she is a manager or even still employed there. She has no customer service. For this, I will not return to this restaurant. It’s not worth it. And it’s not just her, the staff in the back as well. They sent me home with lasagna and bread stick that was sitting on the window ready to be served. Who knows how long it sat there! I just let go and didn’t even say anything while I watched them. The bread was moist and the lasagna tough. And where on this menu is personal size pizza described as round and flat! No pizza on this menu is described as personal size! The round is identified as 10”round! And the pizza I wanted is described as squares. I hope I explained myself for readers to understand. Again, I don’t...

Our experience here was nothing short of terrible. When we walked in, there were several tables that had not been cleaned up. The owner explained that the staff had been on a boat all day for a "Trump party" (should've been our cue to leave right then) so they were a "little behind". We decided to give it a try anyway based on the good reviews online. Our server was absolutely excellent, but you could tell she was VERY frustrated because of the lack of help from management and the owner. The owner also had his drunk friend sitting at the bar hitting on our server and we were close enough to the phone and kitchen area to hear roughly 6 to 7 orders that were totally messed up. Then came OUR order that was messed up. My boyfriend ordered the seafood pasta which came out 35 minutes after I was finished with my meal. By now I was finished with my meal and he was just beginning his. What a disappointment for my birthday dinner.

On top of that, there were so many people sending their food back and calling in that their delivery was either messed up or undercooked. Yikes. I told them it was my birthday and you would have thought with such terrible service that they would've offered me a drink or a shot on the house. The server ended up discounting my boyfriend's meal and giving him a beer, which was awesome, and again this review is not based on her because SHE was amazing. But being a bartender I can not justify the owner just sitting there watching the front and back of the house go so far downhill while his obnoxious friend kept ordering fireball shots. I'm in this area a few times a month and would not return or recommend. Spend your money elsewhere where the management and owners care more about customer service than their friends and a Trump boat party. And if the management reads this, it would've been nice to give me something to make up for such a poor experience on...
