Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Madison

KUDOS TO THE MADISON, ALABAMA LOCATION:

This comes about 1/2 year or 34 sandwiches too late, but is still current! I "won" the weekly freebie last December for the Small Deluxe Original at my local Schlotzsky's. So I have "faithfully" picked up my FREE sandwich each week ...last ate sandwich #34 out of 52 ...LOL!

I use to walk inside, but now I just go thru drive-thru, as I usually have my dog with me now (too hot to leave her in car). Probably should "walk-in" more, as my waistline is not too happy 34 weekly sandwiches later ...LOL! ;-)

These guys all know me by first name & regular order! I almost don't even have to tell them my order (unless I'm adding something new to it), as they remember it after hearing it weekly for more than 1/2 year!

However, I realized I don't think I've ever given them the BIG KUDOS they each deserve, as they definitely deserve it! So I hope I have all their names correct?!?!

A MAJOR (WEEKLY) KUDOS to the following:

RALPH JORDAN - as he's always been helpful!

CHRIS (last name?) - he's usually the one at the drive-thru window & listens to all my "craziness" each week ...LOL! He's extremely patient, helpful & nice! He always remembers my order without me having to tell him!

JASON (last name?) - he's also been there a lot when I come thru the drive-thru & is always helpful, friendly & nice.

TREY (last name?) - he's always extremely friendly, helpful & nice! I believe he's the other one that remembers my order without me having to tell him. He also listens to some of my "craziness" ...LOL!

Hope I'm not mixing-up these names, as they ALL deserve a HUGE KUDOS for their patience, friendliness & above-all ...BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

So that's it ...I pray these guys, gals on the inside from what I remember & all the staff at this location get recognized for the incredible customer service they EACH provide. More than they realize ...they are ALL appreciated!

It's been a while since I've been to a Schlostky's, but they used to be my favorite for big sandwiches. Now it doesn't seem worth the price. They've always been expensive, but you knew you would be getting a sandwich bigger than you could finish- not anymore.

Stopped by the drive thru to get a pastrami and Swiss. Paid $15 for a combo (medium sandwich, chips, drink.) Sandwich alone would have been $10. The sandwich had a pretty sad amount of meat and cheese for the price, and their bread now has hardly any flavor - was dry and tasted of nothing. At least the pastrami and mustard was pretty good.

It's unfortunate to see this chain going downhill like everywhere else. Even more expensive but putting out a worse product. Sad to say I probably won't be returning. Corporate greed kills everything.

Feeling ripped off. Advise against purchasing gift cards that promise $5 bonus gift cards (via Schlotzsky's email ad). After purchasing, the fine print that came with the digital 'bonus' gift card states it is actually a promo and cannot be combined with another bonus card used in a single visit to the same location. So drove to this store in an ADJACENT CITY on my way home and the bonus card was rejected because the app consided me to be in the "same location". This franchise has gone out of business in my state so I took the gift card and 'bonus' card offer (two of them) so I could purchase several sandwiches while visiting and take them back with me. Now I see why this chain is struggling to stay in business and I regret...
