Best Salvadoran food in the area. The pupusa with the crunchy cole slaw and carrots and salsa was my favorite and at 3.75 it is a steal. They are large and more flat than other pupusas I've tried, but crazy worth! Also, the cheese pull was beautiful. The steak nachos had an incredible amount of steak and there are beans on the bottom. They did forget the lettuce/ tomato/sour cream, but they got it out soon after. The steak fajita came out hot and the steak was well cooked--not too tough. The jalapeño added a spicy touch. The corn tortilla was a bit too thick so ask for a flour tortilla if you're not used to it. The corn tortilla is delicious though--and it's more authentic if you choose to get a corn tortilla. Super BIG burrito with beef tongue inside. The rice is cooked well with some peas and well cooked beans. They have a big dollop of sour cream, lettuce, tomato, guacamole... again super great value.
Everything comes out hot, so be wary of the hot plates. Super good prices and we were...
Read moreIf we’re talking about food, this place is the real deal—100% authentic Salvadoran flavor and absolutely delicious every single time. I’ve been coming here for years (probably 10+), and the in-person service is always amazing. No complaints there at all.
But I do have to mention one issue that’s been consistent: calling in to place an order is a nightmare. Tonight, for example, I called at 9:16 PM to order, and I was still on hold by 9:31 PM… only for the call to hang up. If you’re not taking phone orders because it’s close to closing time, that’s fine—just be honest with the customers. Leaving people hanging on the line with no answer or explanation is not okay.
It’s frustrating, especially because I truly love this place. I just wish the phone service matched the quality of the food and...
Read moreI had such a fantastic time at El Mirador in Manassas, Virginia. The food was simply delicious—truly mouth-watering. We ordered the Pechuga de Pollo ($14.25) and a Fajita de Ca., Re. Po ($25.50), and both dishes were just incredible. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the fajitas were packed with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh veggies. The yuca fries were a delightful surprise—crispy and delicious, with dipping sauces that were just as tasty. The customer service was top-notch too; everyone was so friendly and made us feel right at home. This is definitely a place I’ll be returning to again and again!
