SoHo Bistro & Lounge — Restaurant in Manchester

We were greeted very nicely and taken to our table right away. Our table was so tiny we instantly wondered how we were going to eat comfortably. Everything was nice and clean and the ambiance was very upscale but fun. Bread came with oil that had no flavor and hard as a rock butter with also no flavor not even salted. We ordered our appetizer the pork belly beignets and received it without any plates so we had to find someone and ask for some. The beignets were so hard on the outside we had to saw through them with a steak knife. The pork belly inside was extremely overcooked and got stuck in our teeth. We shared one and left the other 2 beignets. It took a very long time to get my husband’s second beer and we were sitting right next to the bar. We found ourselves looking for our waitress more often than anything else. We also kept hearing everyone around us complaining about the service too. Entrees came and the fries were cold. Steak was good and my husbands burger was good. Took a long time to get our second drinks. Then our waitress never came back I had to go looking for her to ask for check. At no point did she apologize for the wait or being gone so much until she handed us the check. Then she apologized hoping to regain her tip. That didn’t happen. The bartender held my card while I was being served, which was fine and most places do so, but when I went to pay and retrieve it, she had lost it!! The place is under new ownership and the woman who owns it needs to move her cameras. We tried to look at those and none of them show the bar. I tried calling on the next day that they were open to see if they had found it. All you can do is leave a message. Nobody ever called me back. I guess as long as their bank cards were in their wallets, it was fine. Two days later, after I reported the card stolen and had a new one on the way, I got a Fb message from someone saying he thinks the bartender mixed up our cards because the were identical, but he noticed he had one with my name on it and also his own. So she gave him both. This all happened with about 6 people sitting in the place. I can imagine how the owner and staff run this place with a full house. As a waitress and bartender of 11 yrs, never once has this happened to me or a fellow co-worker. Also, just for a food review. We were recommended the nachos. The bartender raved about them. They were disgusting and presentation was weak as well. Wouldn’t return if everything were free! Thank you...

I had purchased a Groupon which gave opening time of 4:00 p.m., which was incorrect as we were greeted by a very gruff, "We're not open!" After explaining that website states opening at 4pm, a meek voice asked if we could be allowed to sit at bar with a drink while they opened. We were given permission. We asked for their menu of specialty drinks advertised on Groupon & if they could make one. We were told that no one really orders from that menu & they don't have most of the ingredients. So we asked for "Tanqueray & tonics". Bartender had no idea what 'Tanqueray' was. We had to explain, locate on bar shelf, & drink them out of plastic cups! When 5:10pm rolled around, we asked to sit at a table. Server arrived to take our order but explained that we'd need to order alcoholic beverages from bar because she couldn't bring them to table. This was absolutely not as described in Groupon. To top it off, everything described on advertisement wasn't even on the menu! Bad...
