I found out about TDN on one of the social media platforms. I really enjoyed the communication and when I was ready to purchase, it couldn't have been any easier. To be honest I was excited and was expecting my unit immediately, but I was told that each unit was hand built in the USA, so as a small manufacturer the turn time around might be a little longer. It was great knowing my unit was hand manufactured in the USA, and that quality does not necessarily mean speedy delivery. However I was surprised when my unit arrived about a week or so later.

I unpacked my unit and it arrived in perfect condition, it was packaged nicely, in a secure and discrete box. This was my first distillation unit and I was very excited. It was great to find some instruction that were included with my unit. The instructions properly informed me on the basics of set up. I had no other questions, they were very clear instructions(which was good because I was a newbie). I also was surprised to find a small bag of paste to make sure the unit sealed up during distillation, included as a free bonus, which was great because again...I was a newbie. I had one question later on and the owner Jon was very nice and answered my question almost immediately after sending him a personal text. I like the way this business communicates, you don't find that level of communication many places.

In the last year and a half, I have used this unit many times. It is very consistent and very easy to set up, use, break down and clean. I think the workmanship is top-notch, not a single sharp edge, no leaks, and very sturdy. I feel comfortable saying this unit will outlive me if taken care of properly.

With any review, I look for the pro's and con's...I have listed many pro's and have to dig deep to find anything wrong with this unit. It functions exactly as it should, is durable, and well manufactured. The one thing and its a small con, is that the unit is not polished shiny cooper out of the box. This is not a complaint as it would take so much time and add to the cost of the unit itself to get it all nice and polished. I'm giving a heads-up...if you want a polished unit, you will have to do it yourself. I used mine for a long time until recently taking the time to polish it up nice and shiny. Weather its polished or not, it still works excellent!! I have referred friends, and have had many ask where I bought my unit. Overall, they all seem as impressed as I have been. I would ask y’all to be patient on receiving your still, it’s worth the wait. the Still I received from American Copperworks is a piece of art as well as very sufficient still. I come from a family of home Brewers I was raised with a father that made some of the best shine in the state of Maine. yes I had to wait a bit to receive mine from this company but believe me, it was worth it! the still they sent me is a beautiful piece of work, I was impressed with the packing, packed in (straw) that’s about as old school as you can get! absolutely no dents no marks or scratches, the soldering was like a piece of art no drips no spills just plain downright excellent workmanship, once it was cleaned steamed and prepared for use it actually brought back my ability to brew some of the best corn mash I have brewed in years.

The owner of the company stayed in touch with me throughout my entire wait for shipment. I had e-mailed American Copperworks frustrated wanting to know where my order, was he immediately got back to me.

once I received my still and had it set up and put the still to work, there was absolutely no leaks, and to my surprise I did not even have to use flour to seal around the cap, in past years on (my older stills) I’ve always had to use flour around the cap and coil lines and connections to keep it sealed tight. if some of you are getting frustrated because you have not received your shipment please be patient. I will say this again! It’s worth the wait! I do not know how many of you might have or might not have built your own still, like I have in the past, building a still is not the easiest task without leaks or occurring cracks during a cook. after a half a dozen cooks on my American copper still, still no leaks no cracks absolutely no problems. if you have not ordered a Still , I suggest you do from American Copperworks.

Lets start with customer service. That is one of the most important aspects of a company. Jonathan offers at least 3 different ways to contact him. He answers the phone every single time and answers all text messages. I always feel confident when i can reach the supplier of a product with no issues. He also gives you the names of the people working with him to contact if needed. That is so personal. No other companies do that. The Distillery Network Inc. website is very well created and easy to navigate. They have many pictures and videos to show exactly what and how their product is made as well as instructional videos. The craftsmanship is second to none. Every bend and solder are done to the highest degree. So not only do their products look beautiful but they function perfectly. The threads and fitment of each connection are superb. The product was very clean upon arriving. The shipping was super fast and the product was packaged like it was made of glass. Very well boxed and protected. I did a lot of research on who to purchase from and I kept coming back to The Distillery Network every time. The price for what I received was unbeatable by far.
