today 24oct,2022read what experienced employees: my advice to anyone who would like to work here, dont apply no any benefits here , one break time, they dont pay good $13.50, no 401k even you cant reach the regular hours(40 hours per week) . iam Muslim icant lie. when they hiring me during interview, me and management were both agreed at least 32 hours, and $13.5/hour (itold to myself its ok for me even this is a minimum wage 13.50of Massachusetts state may be they have some good benefits), they said ok . when I started work, they gave me 42 hours, for 3 weeks(6days) , when itold them you didn't pay Columbus day because my coworkers all them got paid, they go to use the politics of psychological revenge to put my schedule of week ending Oct,29,2022 ONLY 16hours/ week.they like me to disappointed (in order to be quit) ,upset and included retaliation as my negative reward of my complaints about no paid holiday Columbus day .This action considered as discrimination between me and my coworkers so, they give me only 16hours per week( scheduled time of work ending period Oct29,2022). and making differ from my coworkers they have right we are in country they say democracy in paper only to pass the principal s fierce blinded capitalism and market with anyway they dont care about its employees be slave or be homeless . icant put other discriminations here ( because they will find answers from now) to NH human right , and Dept of Labor as well see attached 3 photos ). this store was closed for this problem in2013 for 2 weeks, you can ask your parents if your age as a minor worker for knowledge: the contractors truck delivery of food had not paid fair as those of Walmart so the market had emptied from food and groceries, and went to the strick market. form ihave already contact NH human rights for investigation and department of labor. idont care if they like to fire me from this response of psychological revenge against me for giving me weekly few 16 hours. As it says the truth is like a surgery it hurts you but it will deal you after. before you apply for any position here contact me at my Facebook (Aissa Aoussar) for further additional information or 603858317. Thanks my coworkers we are citizens , all things that hurt me today one day someone else will be in the same of my situation.

Cafe, where you can get ice-cream to coffee, food court, where you can get sushi to sandwiches, a store lay out that is different from the other Market Baskets. Has 12 and 20 items or less registers. Parking lot is very busy and you may have a challenge to get a parking spot. Cashier was friendly. Update; Sunday, August 2020; Ordered a pizza and it was ready within 15 minutes. Friendly staff. Busy store with long, but organized lines. Sunday is usually busy for all Market Baskets. I'm not big on pizza šŸ• anymore, but, Market Basket pizza is good. Update: Columbus Day Weekend, 2020; Still busy! RedBOX available, located on side entrance. Pizza šŸ• still good. Bathroom was in decent shape. Update: Monday afternoon, December 2022; The dining area is smaller and the dining room bathrooms and WiFi have been shut down. It's probably because of the homeless problem Manchester has been having. There is a one hour limit in the dining room. Elm Street sidewalk access.

on my way home from a long day in boston and decided i wanted to call the WORST market basket in the city to order from the kitchen, they picked up and i asked to be transferred to the kitchen. the line has been ringing for 21 minutes and still going. they need to stop hiring children and hire people who actually want to work. not to mention the amount of homeless people on the curb and slumped over in the middle of the parking lot, there are literally homeless people digging in the cigarette trash bin for smoked cigarette butts. disgusting. i was on hold for 20+ minutes and when i went inside i pulled a number next to the million other people in line and the phone was not ringing at all. not to mention i’ve been to trash dumps cleaner than this place. unfortunately this is the ā€œnightmare on elm streetā€

Nasty, almost combative, "seasoned" associate the Market's Cafe counter can't handle the hectic pace so she 'slaps' your cash change into your hand and whips away in a hurry to deal with something else. Unapproachable, stressed out counter clerks don't show well. Nor do filthy, urine scented, nasty bathrooms. The condiment cubbies in the so called "cafe" are always out of salt, mayo, mustard, whatever. Cafe tables always, always nasty, unwashed. Front end manager never anywhere to be seen. The sanitary wipe dispensers always empty. Sharing issues and concerns of this type with customer service window associates is futile. I'm supposed to be ok with waiting over the minutes to be rung up at Market's Cafe. With This store system will never, ever embrace automation technology like self checkout kiosks like, you know, a MODERN grocery store like Shaw's, Hannaford or even Walmart. They need to repurpose their front end to include at least 8 self pay kiosks. At some point, and soon, the coupon clenching, value shopping, traditonal, senile shoppers that love the clerk's uniforms will be gone and this store system will HAVE to deploy technology or they will experience great losses and perhaps even dissolve. In the meantime, can we please say a collective prayer for the underpaid, exploited employees doing their best while all bundled up and constricted in those ridiculous, 1960's...

Decided to check out the store and it was a bit underwhelming. The rave is lobsters at $3.99/lb in there right now, but there are just a couple small ones in the tank; though I give them credit it is a good price (but Hannaford nearly matches it now with a store coupon). Anyway, it is that low due to low current wholesale market prices as of the time I'm writing this review, not that it really is a loss leader. Otherwise, things I buy here are at the standard pricing at other stores (albeit I do admit Hannaford prices lower in areas they compete with this store). The checkout lines were long at a time when it really wasn't that busy, which is counterintuitive for a store that saves money by stocking shelves as much as possible during the day. Selection does cater to those who want to save money by sacrificing some quality as the store brand is heavily promoted, so their strategy is to drive traffic by taking a lower margin on these products that traditionally have a higher margin. I find that natural and organic products along with health and beauty products can be cheaper (or at the very least about the same price) at other stores. With products in these categories, there are differences between different brands carrying the same product, but it all averages out. The store is also overrun with...
