Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Maple Grove

Go to another location if you really want some cold stone. Or find another ice cream shop all together. This one is all bad. The set up is terrible. The line piles up in front of the door by the street. It’s awkward and chaotic. You can’t see the ice cream flavors until you’re ordering which slows things down. You can’t see the mix- ins from where you order the ice cream. The line moves incredibly slow. I wasn’t sure if the register was down or the cashier was on break but my ice cream was running down my cup before I got to the register (also the only place where napkins are). There is very limited seating. The only place more than 2 people can sit is right across from the line. This is where half the line sits while waiting to order so it wasn’t an option. Our family of 4 had to have 2 sit and 2 stand at one of the very dirty tables near the back doors. This was really tough because the walkway is already tight and we had to keep moving for people to get by. All the tables were sticky and gross. when we went there was a small line but it still took about 20-25 minutes for us to even be able to order then about another 5 minutes for them to start mixing the ice cream, my ice cream was not well mixed and had lots of cross contamination and it was only half filled and my mother got the salted caramel ice cream, it had no caramel in it and was just bland also the cheese cake ice cream was very salty and bitter, there was also a lady in the back not wearing gloves but still working on a cake, she was handling the ingredients with her bare hands and touched her face and nose multiple times without washing them. we also ordered a cake a little while back and the lettering was messy and there was a spot where someone screwed up and didn't even bother to fix it, there where almost no filings in the cake even though we had two of them in it and overall had a bad experience. this shop used to be good but this new management has not done a very good job at running the place at all and we will not be returning...

Me and my girlfriend went out to get some ice cream. The place was really busy and the line went out the door. It wasn’t a problem because the line was moving fast. The problem was the lunatic manager yelling at her high school employees and treating customers more like vermin than people.

We quickly became victims of her poor management. Me and my girlfriend ordered two separate ice creams but were paying together, I’m sure a regular occurrence at an ice cream shop. After we had paid the employee who made our ice cream and put a cash tip in the jar, we were walking out the door when the manager yelled across the store at us, “DID YOU PAY FOR THAT?” She didn’t even ask her employees if we paid, she immediately assumed we were petty thrives stealing $10 worth of ice cream. Since we are not crazy, we responded “Yes, we did,” and walked out of the store as we heard her hounding her employees about if we actually paid or not.
