Worst online order experience. I had multiple gift cards that I wanted to use which their website allowed me to add multiple gift cards for an online order. First order went through but was cancelled 20 minutes later. I assumed something went wrong with the gift cards. I reordered using my credit and the order did not get cancelled this time. I found out the first order was cancelled because Famous Dave's can't process multiple gift cards properly, even though the website allowed me to. This cancelled order caused confusion with Door Dash. The Door Dash driver came to pick up the first order which got cancelled by the store. The Door Dash driver then left after finding out it was cancelled by the store. I called Door Dash customer service to check if my second order will get delivered or not. They told me yes and if the order doesn't arrive in time they would refund me the order. 2 hours later, no food was delivered. Called Door Dash customer service back regarding the delivery. They told me they would refund me the order since they didn't deliver. I told them that it was a big order and that I will go pick it up myself . I didn't want all that food to be wasted. When I got to the store, I was told the food was thrown away because "I" cancelled the order. It turns out, Door Dash refunding me my money was them cancelling the order even though I told them that I was going to pick it up still. There wasn't much the store manager could do since it was a Door Dash issue. However, the lack of communication between the restaurant and delivery service is concerning. The store can't communicate directly to Door Dash and the other way around as well. The manager did offer to make my order again without making me pay for it. Read moreI really liked all the workers and atmosphere... but that's nothing if the food is the worst part of the visit.
Not only is the food entirely mundane (disappointingly so), but the portions you receive for what you pay are entirely abysmal. Sad. It should cost at least 40% less, and even then, that's strictly in portion size talk. For how bland it is, it should be worth less as well.
I should state that their sides, while still way over-priced with terrible portions, are actually the best part tasting part of their menu.
Their meats are ridiculously disappointing and lacking, they are absolutely the biggest offenders. Sad. Flavorless. Miniscule portions. Definitely not delicious. This is a school lunch equivalent of "high quality".
Their available sauces aren't flavorful in a good way. One is WAY too sweet, one is way too... smokey? And the other is like Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, but worse. It's like they were made by an Artificial Intelligence that was set on creating the most middle-of-the-road, sad flavors possible. All sauces they have are also too watery, like it's 60% water, but that's whatever.
Unless you're obsessed with their sides or are willing to pay strictly for convenience, and not quality, I'd absolutely skip Famous Daves, because I promise, you can do better at home (Without trying too hard. Frozen ribs that sat in my freezer for 6 months beat this any day).
It definitely wasn't a birthday meal to remember for the right reasons. Will absolutely never come here ever again...
Read moreI would not recommend this restaurant. Because on New Year’s eve I placed an order that was about $360 dollars. My pick up time was placed at 6pm. When I arrived at the store I had talked to 2 employees at the front desk/table. They were struggling to find my order seemed like all of the employees weren’t doing anything to help they weren’t communicating with me about my order & I had sat down waited patiently as I saw everyone else getting there orders picked up. I continued to wait patiently. Then after a while she finally asked if I wanted to pay and then I did. But even after a while after paying my order was still not ready. Then finally I got my order, I did not check before leaving because the food was packaged and wrapped. I got home and got the food ready to eat with my family & I was very disappointed. The food was not fresh it was very cold & we were also missing the Wilbur beans that we had ordered. I call the store & I ask for a manager. I speak to him and he was rude & was still struggling to find my order which I did not understand when I payed for it & he had asked for my receipt ID number which I gave to him but he still could not find it. I was very disappointed because it was such an expensive order & because it was new year’s eve also because they took longer then my pick up time to get my order ready.
