I heard of Dia De Los Tacos from Detroit Eater, so I was happy to see them outside of Ore Dock when I visited Marquette. I tried one taco and thought it was outstanding, so I ordered one of each and ate them all. They were excellent and paired well with the beers at Ore Dock. The two employees working in the truck were nice, friendly, and accomodating. They delivered a free cookie to me as a thanks for ordering so many tacos. Respect to them for doing that. Hopefully I make it back to Marquette soon so that I can try more of their food.

Serves tacos modernos. At $5 a pop I was expecting higher quality ingredients. The tortilla was somewhat stale, the meat underseasoned (something of an accomplishment for chorizo), and the cheese was flavorless white cubes (I'd bet it's mostly xantham gum). If you're desperate for Mexican food it won't offend, but I don't recommend this otherwise.

This place is very popular with the locals. I may get stoned in town square for a four star rating over ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It’s a taco 🌮. If you like tacos you will be satisfied.

I used to LOVE Dia before it was sold to the new owners. Food was always exceptional, and service was fast. I rarely had to wait over 10 minutes to get my food. Now, service is very slow and the food isn't the same. The biggest reason that I don't go anymore is because I have a severe dairy allergy, and always ask for no cheese on my tacos and say I have an allergy. There is still cheese on my tacos, every time. When I ask them to remake my food because of this, it's obvious that it is an inconvenience for the staff. I feel bad, but I don't want to pay for food that I can't eat. Hopefully things improve and I can get my old favorite...

If you ask for anything off of your taco, don't expect it to be followed.

I literally asked for something that she employee said "were running low on this, are you guys fin with a substitute"

"excellent, I actually don't want that on there"

All she had to do was press a button on her screen. Didn't happen.

ten minutes later

"oh, you wanted that OFF right? Well how about pick it off an give it to your friends"

I'M SORRY FOR TRYING TO MAKE YOUR JOB EASIER, next time - I'll wait 45 mins for two sub par tacos somewhere else, maybe they will get it right.

Food was okay, not...

My boyfriend said the Little Miss Piggy taco was the best street taco he's had in his life.

We wandered by the truck on accident and each ordered one taco, just to have a snack. He was going feral over how delicious his was, and immediately returned to the truck when he finished it only to realize they had closed just a minute earlier. I looked them up to find out they'd reopen in a couple hours. We returned then so he could have three more Little Miss Piggys for dinner. I tried the Teri Lynn and one other one that had chorizo and beans, and they...
